TWO GEOTHERMOELECTRIC POWER STATIONS FOR A 210 BILLION LIRE INVESTMENT INAUGURATED IN ITALY TO INCREASE THE ELECTRIC ENERGY

21 july 2007-Two new geothermoelectric power station have been inaugurated by Enel, the italian company, for a 210 billion lire investment. The stations are the height of technology:these have an overall capacity of 40 Mw and they can generate 260 million kw per year, for a requisite fulfilment of 350.000 people. Furthermore,Enel is one of the first electricity company which deals with fluid washing at a depth of more than 1000 m:this way of designing and setting tha plants reduces both the impact on the environment and the acustic pollution. Enel company expects to increase,in five years, the capacity of about 20 Mw in addition to the 512 Mw provided by the 27 already existing plants. This goal respresents Enel’s aim to underline the importance of the multiple employments that the steam can provide to the social and economic development of the italian areas they’re interested on. The company, moreover, will take a particular care of the environment,as its president affirmed.

A NEW OPENING BY THE ITALIAN ELECTRIC COMPANY ENEL,TWO GEOTHERMOELECTRIC POWER STATIONS TO RAISE ELECTRIC ENERGY

21 july 2007-Enel inaugurated in Italy two new geothermoelectric power stations for a total cost of 210 billion lire. The plants have a capacity of 40 Mw and they are able to produce 260 million kw of electricity per year, enough to satisfy 350.000 people. Those are the top of technology.Enel manages, for the first time,to make use of fluid washing at a dept of more than 1000 metres reducing the impact on the environment and the noise pollution. In the next five years,Enel counts on the development of the geothermic energy:it will add enough stations in order to raise the productivity to 200 Mw more than the 512 Mw provided by the existing 27 plants. Moreover,Enel wants to operate in order to increase the use of the steam for economic and social reasons in the areas it’s interested on(those of Monteverdi,Toscana).Chicco Testa, its chairman, also said that they will improve the geothermic resources taking a particular care of the environment and the local situations.
