Sanction: The meet is held under sanction of United States Swimming, Inc. and Snake River Swimming, Inc. “In granting this sanction it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event.”

Facilities: 50 meter X 25 yard indoor pool with depth equal to or less than four feet to thirteen feet. Eight 8 foot lanes. Paragon-style blocks over pool depth of equal to or more than six feet to thirteen feet. Six inch anti-wave lane lines. Large spectator gallery. During the meet, no warm-up lanes will be available.

The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article 103.2.3 is 6’ 9” at the start end and 6’ 9” at the turn end.

The competition pool has been certified with USA Swimming in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).

Type: Timed Finals

Timing: Daktronics Omnisport 6000 Timing System with a ten lane scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software with Timing Console Interface.

Eligibility: Open to only members of the Boise Y Swim Team and Sawtooth Masters. All age group/senior swimmers must hold current USA Swimming registration cards and all Masters swimmers must be registered members of USMS.

Age of the swimmer on the day of the meet will determine the swimmer’s age group (December 21, 2012).

Entries: Swimmers may enter 3 events THERE WILL BE NO RELAYS OR TIME TRIALS OFFERED IN THIS MEET.

NOTE: ENTRIES FOR BUTTERFLY, BREASTROKE AND BACKSTROKE ARE LIMITED TO ONE EVENT EACH PER STROKE, providing they do not exceed the meet maximum of 3 total events (i.e. a 12 year old swimmer may enter either the 200 Breast, 100 Breast or 50 Breast). This is due to the limited time between events. Swimmers may, however, enter 2 freestyle events if they so choose.

Entries must include swimmer’s name, age, event name and number, and the swimmer’s best short course yard time.

“No Times” (NT) will be accepted. NO DECK REGISTRATION AND ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED OR ACCEPTED.

Fees: $1.00 per event; surcharge of $8.25 per swimmer ($1.75 pool rental, $2.75 timing equipment, $1.00 hospitality, $1.75 Snake River Travel fund, $1.00 Snake River Zone fund).

Deadline: Boise Y swimmers entries must be submitted by Friday, December 14th! Enter through the swim team’s website by clicking on the “Attend This Event” button. No late entries, please.

Sawtooth Masters entries must be received no later than 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 14th, 2012. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Rules: All events will be governed by current USA Swimming rules. All events will be swum as timed finals. Swimmers will swim in pre-seeded heats as designated in the heat sheets posted at the meet. Any swimmer entered in the meet who is not USA swimming registered will be subject to a $25.00 fine.

Protests will be handled in the manner described in Section 102.11 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations Current Snake River Swimming safety guidelines and warm-up procedures will be followed.

8 & Under Swimmers entering the 50 yard freestyle, may only enter ONE of the 50 yard freestyle events. (i.e. 8 & Under swimmers entering events 5 or 6, may not also enter events 39 or 40. 8 & Under swimmers entering events 39 or 40, may not also enter events 5 or 6.)

Events for ages 11 & over will include both Masters and USA swimming members, seeded together according to entered times.

500 Freestyle swimmers must provide their own counters and timers.

Scoring: This is a non-scoring meet . There will be no awards for this meet.

Misc: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Heat Sheets: Heat Sheets will be available to spectators for $2.00 each.

Schedule: Coaches Meeting: 2:45 p.m. Officials’ Meeting: 3:15 p.m. Warm-up: 3:00 p.m. Meet Start: 4:00 p.m.

Snake River Swimming safety guidelines and warm-up procedures will apply. These are included with the invitation and will also be posted. NO DIVING off the starting blocks or pool during warm-ups. Racing starts will be allowed in designated sprint lanes the last 15 minutes of warm-up. Two lanes in the competition pool will be available for warm-ups during the entire course of the meet.
