Candidate(s) selected for the post(s) of Joint Secretary (Cadre Post), as direct recruit, shall be governed by the restructured defined contributory pension system as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Economics Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 1.1.2004. The posts at sl. No.2&3 are to be filled on deputation basis. Period of deputation shall initially be for 03 years, extendable on year to year basis for a maximum period of 05 years. It can, however, be curtailed/extended depending on the performance of the individual. The details of job requirement educational qualifications, age, experience etc. in respect of the above posts are given in Annexure- I. Allowances such as DA, HRA, CCA etc. are admissible as per Rules of Central Govt./Board. CBSE has its own scheme of medical facility. The person(s) employed on deputation may, however, opt either for the CBSE’s medical facility scheme or the facility available in his/her parent department. Applications neatly typed on the prescribed proforma (Annexure-III) duly supported with the attested copies of certificates and completed in all respects giving specific information in reference to the eligibility conditions relating to age, qualifications, experience, caste etc. should reach the Joint Secretary (Admn.& Legal), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi –110 092 through ‘Proper Channel’ within 30 days from the date of advertisement appeared in Times of India, Hindustan Times, Employment News and Rozgar Samachar(copy of the advertisement appeared in the above said newspapers are annexed at Annexure –IV). The forwarding authority of the application shall send the attested copies of ACRs of the applicant(s) for the last five years along with the application. A certificate to the effect that no disciplinary proceedings/Vigilance case(s) is either pending and/or contemplated against the officers concerned, must also be given in the forwarding letter. The Board reserves the right to call only suitable candidates. To & fro 2nd class rail journey fare/ordinary bus fare will be paid to the outstation candidates, if called for interview.

Note: Since, it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview discussion, the applicants will be shortlisted for the purpose. The decision of the Board shall be final in this regard. JOINT SECRETARY (CADRE POST) – 01 post (likely to increase) – Rs.14300-400-18300 A) Essential: .a At least Second Class Master’s Degree from a recognized University. .b About ten years experience in any two of the following fields. 1. Experience of educational planning/ administration particularly related to curriculum development in school education. 2. Examination Reforms with Particular reference to improvement of mechanics of examination, internal assessment scholastic and non- scholastic achievement. 3. Text-books planning, preparation and production at the school stage. 4. Organizing of Seminars, Conferences and Orientation Programmes for teachers and key personnel. 5. Conduct of public examinations at the Board or University level.

B) Desirable: i. Teachers Training Degree. ii. Knowledge of rules regulations and procedures of examining bodies/autonomous educational organization. Good working knowledge of both English and Hindi.

Age limit: i. By Direct recruitment : Not exceeding 45 years as on 01.07.2006 (5 years relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates and 03 years to OBC candidates).

ii. On Deputation: Not exceeding 56 years as on 01.07.2006.

2. ACCOUNTS OFFICER – 02 posts - Rs. 8000-275-13500 A. Essential: (a). Persons who have passed SAS/SOGE/JAO or any other equivalent Examination conducted by the organized accounts Department of Central/State Govt. and must be holding :- i. Analogous post on regular basis; OR ii. Three years of regular service in the pay scale of Rs.6500-200-10500; OR iii. Five years of regular service in the pay scale of Rs.5500-175-9000. AND (b). Must posses the following qualification and experience:- i. At least Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent; and ii. Experience in the field of Accounts Compilation, Budget, Internal Audit, Commercial Accounting etc. B) Desirable: Having undergone training in cash and accounts at ISTM, Delhi. Age limit: Not exceeding 50 years as on 01.07.2006.

3. JUNIOR ACCOUNTS OFFICER – 01 post - Rs.6500-200-10500 A. Essential:- (a) Persons holding :- i. Analogous post on regular basis: OR ii. Two years of regular service in the pay scale of Rs.5500-175-9000. OR iii. Three years of regular service in the pay scale of Rs.5000-150-8000. AND (b) Must posses the following qualification and experience:-

i. At least Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent; and ii. Experience in the field of Accounts Compilation, Budget, Internal Audit, Commercial Accounting etc. B. Desirable: Should have passed SAS/other similar examination of organized Accounts Departments or Central/State Govt. Accounts Examination; OR Should have qualified CA/ICWA (at least intermediate). OR Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Economics.

Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years, as on 01.07.2006.

4. ASSISTANT PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER – 01 post - Rs.8000-275-13500 (on deputation) in case of contract basis @ Rs.15,000/- per month)

Essential: a. Second class Master’s degree in any of the subjects of Sociology/Psychology/Public Administration from any recognized University. b. i. In case of contract appointment, any person having held an analogous post (with reference to the nature of duties and total emoluments) with experience in Public Relations at least for a period of five years. ii. In case of deputation, a person holding analogous post or having three years experience in the pay scale of Rs.6500-200-10500 in the field of Public Relations. OR Any person having five years experience in the pay scale of Rs.5500- 175-9000 in the field of Public Relations.

OR Graduate from a recognized University/Institute having at least eight years experience of Programming, System Designing, Data Processing and Data Management in a large Date Processing Organization. Preference will be given to the candidate who are having at least 03 years experience of Examination Data Processing.

Desirable qualification 1. Experience in the field of Internet Technology and Programming , Exposure to RDBMS. 2. Experience of programming in COBOL.
