REQUEST FOR BIDS PROPERTY CASUALTY/WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE BROKER

Sealed bids are being accepted for a Broker who will bid the property, commercial general liability, professional liability, management liability, auto, workers compensation and umbrella liability insurance brokerage services for the Osage Beach Fire Protection District. A copy of the specifications may be requested or can be picked up from the administrative office during our normal business hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday :

All bids are to be completed and returned to the Osage Beach Fire Protection District prior to 12n on September 15th, 2017. Bid packages should be clearly marked:

“Sealed Bid Proposal for Insurance Broker”.

Presentation of the bids will be made by each prospective bidder at the regularly scheduled Board of Directors Meeting on Tuesday, September 19th, 4pm at the Osage Beach Fire Protection District House 1 aforementioned address. Bidder should provide an 4 additional copies of their package that evening for the board and legal counsel. The contract will be awarded to the successful bidder on or before Friday September 22nd at 12n.

The District reserves the right to waive any and all formalities and deficiencies in any bid and to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and re-advertise the work.

Note this bid is for Broker Services only, successful bidder will then coordinate with the Fire District to secure Insurance for the December 1 renewal of current Policies. Submission of Proposals

 Provide a brief history of your firm, including years in the Property, Casualty & Related Insurance brokerage business, growth of agency, business growth and retention and anything that makes your agency unique. Include your agency's customer service philosophy and management style.

 List the name, title, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, and e- mail address of the contact person for this proposal.

 Provide the name(s) of the agent/broker(s) to perform the work for the District and a brief statement as to why each agent/broker is qualified to provide services to the District. Identify the area(s) of expertise for each consultant.

 Confirm that you are a licensed broker in Missouri, and provide documentation.

 Confirm that you serve as a broker independently and are not affiliated with any insurance company, third party administrative agency or provider network.

 Please describe your vision of the relationship with the District in being an agent of record and broker for the District.

 Detail the scope of services your agency would offer and how your firm would accomplish the work described.

 Outline your ability to provide expertise and experience in the areas of Property, Casualty & Related Insurance plan analysis and design. Detail your ability to advise fire protection districts on cost containment strategies. Give examples of your work with other local government agencies, similar in size to the District, and the end result of that effort.

 List three current public entity clients for whom you provide coordinated services related to Property, Casualty & Related Insurance, analysis and design. For each client, the list must specify the type of work performed by your agency, the size of the client’s group and the period of time retained as a client. For each client, include the name, title, address and phone number of a contact person who the District may contact as a reference.

 Do you publish newsletters and other informative publications that are routinely provided to your clients? Have you prepared reviews of topics related to the Property, Casualty & Related Insurance fields that are routinely provided to your clients? Provide Osage Beach Fire Protection District copies.

 Please describe your working relationship with Property, Casualty & Related Insurance carriers licensed in Missouri. Are there any existing or potential relationships between your agency and insurance carriers and/or vendors who may be considered by the cooperative that could lessen your independence and' objectivity because of a perceived or actual conflict of interest?

 Please indicate any other services, capabilities, designations or experience that differentiates your organization from competition.

 Please explain your agency's training strategy to ensure that the latest and most accurate information is conveyed to your customers.

 Please describe to what extent are willing to be involved in resolving problems with claims, etc., between an insured and the insurance carrier.

 Access to Insurance Markets: Provide a list of the insurance markets you would seek to access on behalf of the District for each of the following: Property, Fidelity, Portable Equipment, Automobile, General Liability, Management Liability, Umbrella/Excess, Fiduciary, Workers’ Compensation. Identify those markets on the list, if any, which will submit bids through only one broker.

 Please describe any price negotiation or adjustments to policies due to the Missouri Sovereign Immunity Act (RSMO.537.600).

Broker Compensation

Please outline and detail how the broker will be compensated, now and in the future. PLEASE note that the District will require complete disclosure of any and all fees / commissions / contingent commissions / overrides / bonuses your agency receives each year as a result of your agency's work on its behalf.

Project Management

Please describe how the District's account would be managed by your agency. If different people/departments would manage different aspects, please explain.
