Dear Parents,

Congratulations to your child for being selected to perform in the cast of Littlest Reindeer on Monday, December 18th at 6:45 p.m. in the High School Concert Hall! We will rehearse regularly during specified morning recess times, and occasionally during lunch/recess. Your child will be expected to come to the music room for rehearsal whenever his or her part or scene is listed. A rehearsal schedule will be posted outside the music room, by the north recess doors, and on my district blog at https://gcsdstaff.org/eckwall/.

How simple or elaborate you choose to have your child’s costume is completely up to you. For the elves, I might suggest elf hats, pointed “ears” and pointed shoes. I also encourage you and your child to come up with a creative elf name for himself or herself. For the reindeer, wearing a brown outfit with antlers would work well. Santa and Mrs. Claus could dress in their normal North Pole attire.

Please try to have your child memorize his or her speaking part by the time return from Thanksgiving break.

If your child will be unable to attend the Christmas program on December 18th, please let me know as soon as possible so I may find someone else to play his or her role.
