Assignment: District Administration Office Department: Business Office Reports to: Superintendent ------Position Definition: The Payroll & Human Resources Supervisor is a full time (12-month) position that directly reports to the Superintendent. This position is expected to perform on a supervisory level, performing duties beyond the scope of a typical support staff position. This position is expected to operate on a progressively responsible, decision-making level, which may require work beyond the normal workday to reflect the supervisory classification and responsibility level. His/her duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ► Supervise and facilitate the processing of all district payroll, direct deposits, and record keeping for biweekly payroll. ► Supervise bookkeeper/benefits assistant position to ensure accurate processing, record keeping, and bill reconciliation relating to employee medical benefits. ► Supervise bookkeeper/benefits assistant position to ensure accurate processing, record keeping, and related follow-up relating to worker’s compensation claim processing. ► Supervise bookkeeper/benefits assistant position to ensure accurate processing and record keeping relating to depositing district funds. ► Coordinate and facilitate the preparation of all federal and state quarterly reports relating to district payroll. ► Process any voluntary deduction changes or additions to employee payroll. ► Answer any questions employees have regarding payroll or medical benefit matters. ► Manage the district revenue accounts and communicate regular status reports to the Superintendent. ► Supervise the implementation and continual update process of asset management, in accordance with PDE regulations. ► Perform any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: Education/Experience  Minimum of five years progressive experience in a school environment in the area of payroll and benefits administration and/or supervision. This position, at a minimum, requires a high school diploma or GED with preference given to educational continuation at the college level. Must be proficient in the day-to-day utilization of computers and software programs to include: MS Word, Excel, and payroll software systems. Reasoning Ability  This position requires the ability to quickly and effectively resolve routine and non-routine payroll and medical benefits related matters. This position further requires the ability to effectively communicate and resolve questions that employees may have on benefit and payroll related matters.

Language Skills  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical manuals, operating instructions, policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before individuals and employees of the organization.
