MAH Secure Website SSL VPN

The Secure Mount Auburn VPN page allows you to access several applications as if you were within the Hospital’s network.

Applications include:  Web Email  Caregroup Portal (will be able to access protected resources such as Up To Date reference, MAH Policies and Procedures, and Paging)  Muse EKG  RL Solutions (incident reporting system)  MAH Paging

First Time Use Only:  Open your Internet Browser.  On the Toolbar, click TOOLS  Click Pop Up Blocker  Click Turn Off Pop Up Blocker

Access the website:  Go to https://secure.bidmc.harvard.edu/mah  You will be prompted to install Active X (ONE TIME ONLY)  Click Yes to accept. The system will install the piece of Software needed.

Going forward:  Go to https://secure.bidmc.harvard.edu/mah  At the User ID prompt, enter in your ITS User ID  At the Password prompt, enter in your ITS Password  Click on the application you wish to access: Notes on the Applications Available via SSL VPN:

 Outlook Web Email o Will allow you to send/receive emails and manage your Outlook calendar. o Does not allow certain functions such as using the Out Of Office Tool.

 Citrix Web Access o Will allow you to access Applications that are available via Citrix. o Click on the Non-Clinical Applications folder. o Applications include: Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word o Click on Clinical Applications folder o Applications include: MEDITECH o Please note that the majority of applications available in this function are specific to BID.

 Caregroup Portal o By accessing the Caregroup Portal through this link, you will be able to access any application as if you were at the hospital. o Examples include: UpToDate reference, MAH Policies and Procedures, and Mount Auburn Paging. o Note that Location will default to BID. Change to Mount Auburn to use MAH specific items such as the Pager page.

 MUSE EKG o Click on the link. o Enter your USER ID and Password for entry into the application.

 RL Solutions o Mount Auburn’s incident reporting system. o When you access it, you will be asked fro User ID and password. This ID and password matches your MEDITECH User ID and password.

 MAH Paging o Click on this link for direct access to the Mount Auburn Hospital Paging system.

 Network Home Directory o If you store any files on the Network’s H Drive, this will allow you to access them directly.
