1. Apologies: Apologies for absence.

2. Requests for dispensations: The Clerk to report any requests received for dispensations to speak and/or vote on any matter where a member has a disclosable pecuniary interest.

3. Declarations of Interest: To receive declarations by elected members of interests in respect of items on this Agenda. Members are reminded that, in accordance with the revised Code of Conduct, they are required to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests or other registrable interests who have not already been declared in the Council’s Register of Interests. (It is a criminal offence not to declare a disclosable pecuniary interest either in the Register or at the meeting). Members may however also decide in the interests of clarity and transparency, to declare at this point in the meeting any such disclosable pecuniary interests which they have already declared in the Register, as well as any other registrable or other interests.

4. Public Participation: For a period of fifteen minutes, members of the public may ask questions of and raise matters that they think should be discussed by the Council at a future meeting.

Premier Inn Hotels Ltd Minor material amendment to vary condition No 2 (approved plans) attached to planning permission SL/15/1203 (Erection of part two storey, part three storey building for hotel and ancillary restaurant/bar, together with means of access, car parking and ancillary works.

5/17/9001 Cross Lane Garage, Cross Lane, Ulverston. Mr John Miller C.C.C. Change of use to a scrap yard and tyre repair and trailer garage and erection of a building and ancillary development.

5/17/9002 Scrap Yard, Back Lane, Ulverston. Mr John Miller C.C.C Dismantling/removal of steel portal framed building and demolition of workshops and garages.

5/17/9003 Newlands Farm, Newlands, Ulverston. Mr. Stephen Williamson C.C.C. Proposed restoration scheme on former tip site to improve farm land. Update: SL/16/0600 Update on application to install a concrete batching plant at Lindal. The town council supported the refusal of this application by Lindal and Marton Parish Council (Minute No V85 October 2016) and responded directly to SLDC on the matter. The council is now asked to formally respond again to SLDC following a further submission of additional information by the developer.

11. Emergency Resilience: Update on Progress. Report from Cllr Mark Wilson.

13. Refugees: Introduced by Cllr C Pickthall. This council commends Cumbria County Council and South Lakeland District Council on their continuing readiness to welcome and support refugees, especially child refugees and resolve to co-operate fully with local groups and the councils to absorb as many as possible into Ulverston.

14. Re-Instatement of Cobbles/Sets on Market Street. Report from Town Clerk attached.
