Updates:

OCECD: Sandy reported that Jo Mascarrow’s presentation on “You Can’t Fight the Frontal Lobe” was very well received. Sandy is interested in bringing Jo to Northwest Ohio, probably next fall. She asked for our input as to planning for the success of the event. Tentatively planned for Perrysburg area.

OCECD Council: Cathy reported on the November Annual meeting and the success of the Multicultural Fair held this fall in Columbus. School districts needing interpreters may contact OCECD, Columbus Federal Court or the Ohio Registry of Interpreters.

Council: Parent Mentor Council will meet in January and Niki will report back at February meeting. Wendy is recovering from surgery and related health issues. She was not be able to attend Council meeting. Some discussion on finding a replacement for Wendy, but decision was made to keep her as representative to return as her health improves.

New business: Cards and encouragement may be sent to Wendy at her husband’s office. Our thoughts are with you, Wendy!

Mentors exchanged printed information, strategies and resources. Everyone left with a refilled “tool box”. Next meeting date/location: February 3, 2015 at the Family Center, 1800 North Blanchard Street, Findlay
