Directions to Brackenthwaite Farm:

For those using sat-nav, our post code is LA5 9TE and we are situated on the Brackenthwaite Road (though there is no actual sign stating as such). Please be aware not to be lead up to Thrang End Farm just before us, as sat-nav’s can sometimes direct you there!

 Visitors from the South:

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 35, take the first exit onto A601(M), then at the ‘Pine Lake’ roundabout take the second exit and travel north along the A6 (sign posted Milnthorpe), you will then come to another smaller roundabout, take the first exit keeping on the A6. Then after approx 1 mile you will pass ‘Holmere Hall’ on your left, take the third turning left off the A6 onto Nineteen Acre Lane (Sign posted Yealand Redmayne, Arnside). At the top T-junction, turn right onto Silverdale Road (Sign posted Leighton Moss, Arnside), pass through Yealand Storrs; at the brow of the hill then take the right fork off onto Thrang Brow Lane (Sign posted to Arnside, Beetham). Travel up the short, steep (1:7) wooded hill, down the other side, round the left-handed bend (sign posted Arnside & Brackenthwaite Farm) and follow on straight for approximately half a mile. Brackenthwaite Farm is the first buildings located on the right-hand side of the road. We have a large sign situated at the entrance over our courtyard archway.

 Visitors from the North:

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36. At the main roundabout take the first exit and then at the immediate next roundabout, take the third exit onto A6070 and travel south to Burton-in-Kendal. After passing through Burton, turn right along Tarn Lane, you will pass over the M6. On reaching the A6, directly cross over onto Nineteen Acre Lane (signposted Yealand Redmayne, Arnside). Then proceed as directed from the south.

Parking:

Visitors for Keeper’s Lodge please take the first right immediately before the farm (caravan site sign) and park down the track just off the road by the side of the Keeper’s Lodge by the seating area. Parking for The Coach House 1 & 2 is in the courtyard through the archway under the farm’s sign. If you are coming to The Old Farm House, please drive past the main archway entrance and park at the front of the cottage on the gravelled area through the large wooden gate off the road on the right.

Our house door and reception area is situated off round the courtyard (follow the “enquiries” sign in the yard), under a large roofed porch/utilities area.

We look forward to welcoming you.
