COURSE: Lecture: Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 - 10:50 Exercise Sciences Center 208.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE: This course examines the methods of collecting data, how to design sound research, and how to analyze and interpret data. This course will allow the student to become a good consumer as well as producer of research in exercise and sport sciences.

Final Exam is scheduled for Friday, May 7th, 2004 from 7:30-10:00 am.

QUIZZES: A total of 5 in class quizzes will be conducted throughout the semester. Quizzes are worth 10 points each. You can only receive credit if you are present for the quiz. Excused absences will result in the previous quiz grade being doubled.

CLASS ASSIGNMENTS: You will have in-class and out-of-class assignments throughout the semester. Total class assignments will be 50 points.

PAPER: Each student will be required to complete a research paper over a topic in Exercise and Sport Sciences. You must have your topic approved by me. Guidelines for completing the paper will be provided in class.

GRADING:
