 The 2017 chapter officers were re-elected for 2018: o Mark Bruce – President o Tom Whitman – Vice President o Bob Smee – Treasurer o Erika Frank - Secretary  News from AHMP National: The AHMP National budget is under development. There are approximately 1600 current AHMP national members, but membership has steadily been declining. AHMP National is focusing on improving its marketing in 2018. The 2018 National Conference will be in Reno, Nevada; 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia; 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska. AHMP National is trying to update its roster of members.  The PA Capital area chapter will receive its 25-year award at the 2018 conference.  Motion approved to allow AHMP to handle chapter dues payments, to enjoy the benefits from the revamped AHMP website. Bob Smee will determine how to make the change. In the interim, continue to mail dues payment to Bob Smee. Please pay your dues!  Bob Smee reviewed the different levels of membership available for our chapter.  Chapter members are strongly encouraged to join the AHMP National chapter and gain access to online education. Chapter members should update their profiles on the AHMP National website.  Chapter officers are working on the revised annual report form. The group decided to use a Harrisburg zip code as its home base. Erika Frank will develop the required member roster spreadsheet, so IHMM can reciprocate with a list of CHMMs in the area. Bob Smee noted that the 990 postcard won’t go through, and the chapter cannot file its taxes. Mark Shaffer will forward emails as proof of attempted payment.  Bob Smee presented the chapter’s annual financial report. This was a larger year for expenses due to the GOSH conference; however, we were reimbursed $400 from AHMP for conference attendance.  The chapter considered attendance at the PA Chamber Environmental conference on April 5th, but did not make any decisions.  Chapter members are invited to attend a meeting January 19th, 11AM at Elizabethtown College to recruit student members.  Mark Bruce will contact Donna Switzer about a joint chapter meeting with the Philadelphia Chapter at Victory Brewing in Downingtown.  Mark Bruce will determine Carol Brozosky’s availability to host an EHMM course for our chapter.  The Cyber Chapter is hosting an online EHMM class 2/27-3/3: http://www.ahmpnet.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1043609  The Philly Chapter is hosting EHMM courses February 6-7 and April 9-10: http://achmm-philly.org/ PA Capital Area Chapter Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 2  Tom Whitman reviewed the National Awards program and the awards process for individuals and chapters.  Mark Bruce suggested that a newsletter, 2018 conferences, and university outreach are the focus areas for improving our chapter.  Janel has offered to volunteer the chapter as a speaker with Lancaster County Industrial Safety Council.  Discussion of revenue generation via website sponsors was tabled for a future meeting.  Bob Smee will develop a statement as proof of dues payment for chapter members.  Some chapter members are experiencing technical glitches on the IHMM website.  Newer members need to be added to the distribution list for volunteering opportunities, and chapter member should continue investigating opportunities for volunteering.  The next chapter meeting will be a demonstration of AuditPro in early March; location in York County to be determined.
