POSITION OVERVIEW

This is not a traditional in-house lawyer role. If selected for the role, how you work will be as important as what you do. We are seeking legal business partners from broad and diverse backgrounds who are true corporate citizens. Please apply only if you have experience providing legal support regarding electric transmission issues impacting Regional Transmission Organizations, their members, and stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will have experience handling matters involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, National Electric Reliability Corporation, and/or state public utility commissions, and understand the key players in the electric industry. This person will work on a wide variety of legal and business matters focused mainly on: federal and state energy regulatory proceedings, risk identification, and mitigation strategies, all in order to contribute to and influence the strategic direction of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS  Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is required

 License to practice law in any US state or the District of Columbia

 Indiana licensure required or able to obtain within 18 months from date of hire

 At least five to ten years plus of related legal experience (required)

 Previous demonstrated leadership experience (strongly preferred)

 Previous regulatory or energy industry experience (strongly preferred)
