OVERVIEW Born 1946, Melbourne, Eleanor Hart commenced painting over 50 years ago in 1963, as a student at Caulfield Technical College. Since then, Eleanor Hart also graduated from RMIT in 1975 before holding the position of Head of Department, Caulfield Institute of Technology, Monash University, until 1988. In addition to maintaining an extensive exhibition practice, Eleanor has studied and had residencies in Europe. In 2008 she was awarded membership of the National Gallery of Australia Foundation. Today Eleanor Hart is represented internationally as well as in major collections in Australia such as the National Gallery of Victoria.

PROJECT VITAE 2010/13Research Project in conjunction with the University of Melbourne. 2008 Research in Vienna and Paris. Foundation Member of the National Gallery of Australia. 2004 Studio in Paris 1996 Visited London and Paris to study the works of Leon Kossoff and Frank Auerbach. 1988 Residency, Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. Made drawings in the Marais, Paris. 1986/9 Lectured in drawing and painting at Prahran College, Melbourne (Swinburne University). 1983 Travelled in Europe and US. Residency, Cité Intemationale des Arts, Paris. 1981 Travelled in Europe, specifically to draw architecture. Studied Mark Rothko collection at Tate Gallery, London. Visited Graphische Sammlung (print collection) of Albertina Museum, Vienna.

Touch Me tells the story of a woman artist, and features forty-three paintings, including a portrait of Paul Cox.
