Morning Session - Immunisation Update Afternoon session - Men’s Health, Heart, Stroke & Kidney Complications with Diabetes, Aggressive Behavior, Drugs and Alcohol & Mental Health

TIME: 8.45am to 5.00PM. VENUE: STATE TENNIS CENTRE, VICTORIA PARK DRIVE, BURSWOOD. ENTRANCE – The State Tennis Centre has ample free parking, with easy access by entering via the Graham Farmer Freeway and taking the off ramp, which is sign posted for the ‘Crown Casino and Tennis Centre’.

8.45 – 9.20am Registration & Trade Display, Refreshments available

8.45 – 9.20am Introduction and WAPNA update

9.30 - 11.30am Immunisation Update - presented by Jane Gardner, Jan deGroot, Jill Robinson, Jenni Pringle - Disease control (i.e. when you have a measles case in your general practice), immunisation update, including complex catch ups, packing an esky and managing cold chain and high risk STI’s - i.e. gonorrhea contact tracing

11.30 – 12.20pm Lunch and Trade displays

12.20 – 1.20pm Men’s health – “Uncovering the mystery - psycho social aspects of men's health" the barriers to men accessing health - presenter details to be finalized

1.20 – 2.25pm Heart, Stroke and kidney complications for Type 2 Diabetes. Screening tools available – The role of the Practice Nurse (primary care nurse) in General Practice – presented by Sarah Black – credentialed Diabetes Educator

3.00 – 5.00pm "Primary care pot pourri : Managing Aggressive Behaviour, Drugs and Alcohol and Staying Mentally Healthy!" – presented by Dr Eric Khong and GP Dr Moira Sim
