Review of the agenda

M: Judy/Brent To accept the agenda as presented. Carried

The minutes of the last executive meeting were reviewed.

M: Judy/Luzia To accept the minutes as read Carried

Treasurer’s report – Heather See attached Halloween social excellent fundraiser this year – up about $2000.00 over last year for a profit of almost $4000.00 M: Heather/Ken That the treasurer’s report be accepted as presented Carried

Correspondence Fundraising opportunity email for Blue Bombers Dodge Caravan Kids Team Sponsorship Program Information on hosting of provincial sites remaining CMHA H1N1 policy Rink Board Bag Policy

Registrar – Chris See Attached Total of 99 kids currently registered We are still zoned a “C” category

MAHA – Ken Reminder of upcoming December deadlines

Ref in Chief – Erin Lack of refs is certainly an issue. We have very young refs this year so please remember to direct any comment or concerns with the refs to Erin. Erin may use only 2 refs with some of the younger teams if necessary. Booth Rep – Annie Weeks have been finalized and all information has been passed onto Annie.

Equipment Manager Report – Mike The Squirts jerseys have been delayed but ordered Water bottles have also been ordered 1 Goalie Stick has been purchased.

New Business

Refund Squirts player M Olmstead has requested a refund as not interested in playing. Following the refund policy a refund of $125.00was approved M: Brent/Heather

Privacy Policy Reviewed Hockey MB formal privacy policy. M: Chris/Chuck Carried To include a privacy policy for all coaches, managers and executive members in the registration package for the 09/10 season.

Preseason Camps Skills coaches have not been paid yet. M: Judy/Betty Ryan Robson and Marty Jordan each be given a $100.00 gift certificate (Keg) for skills camp. Their 4 helpers will each be give a $25.00 gift certificate to Source for Sports Sherrill Creasy be paid as per her bill for the power skating sessions.

SS Skating and Skills This organization has contacted Heidi about offering a skills camp in December – we will decline

Breakfast Club 25 children and 5 coaches attended the first Breakfast club. Chuck approached the rink board and they have agreed to only charge ½ price for ice time for the club. Both grocery stores have offered assistance with Breakfast items. Betty will also approach Maple Leaf. Stats will be kept on attendance. Chuck will email Teresa letter addressing insurance for kids registered with Hockey MB, which will be forwarded to the foundation M: Ken/Luzia That CMHA will fund Breakfast club for this hockey season. Ref in Chief Honorarium Discussion regarding past history for payments to the ref in chief. M: Judy/Heather CMHA will pay the ref in chief a $300.00 honorarium each year. This will be retro active to the past two years. Chuck will notify past chiefs

Hosting Provincials Discussion regarding Bantam Girls hosting provincial tournament Mar 12-14. They hosted two years ago and did not realize much monies. Betty will take back to team

Discipline Issue Discussion regarding a discipline issue within CMHA – executive requested that the coaches keep them updated on issue.

Team Updates

Bantam Girls – 12 players – 11 teams in league. Still waiting for a transfer from Brandon. Until that transfer is finalized the player is not allowed to play exhibition or league games. Chris will make some calls and try to get process in motion.

Atom – 14 players – Parkismo League – have 16 league games and are currently entered in 5 tourneys.

Bantam Boys – 15 players – T of C is full with 12 teams entered. Planning is underway. Dec 30 plainsmen need bantam ice time – can they move to daytime practice – yes

Novice – Brandon – 12 players – improving greatly

Novice – Parkismo – 12 players – 40 games – start league this Friday

PeeWee – 18 players – played 4 games already
