Position Highlights:

 Under the direction of the Director, plans and directs comprehensive nursing care and coordinates the nursing process for a 29-bed busy medical-telemetry department by assigning, instructing and supervising a Department team of professional and ancillary staff.  Assists the Director to develop and maintain goals, objectives, staffing, work methods, policies and procedures  Assists the Nursing Staff through clinical consultation, coordination of nursing resources and assists in the provision of nursing care  Assumes responsibility for managing department in absence of the Director

Qualifications:  Graduate from a school of nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or in the nurse's primary state of legal residency if that state is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact.  Bachelor's degree in Nursing with certification in applicable specialty preferred.  Five years of related clinical experience and demonstrated leadership skills.  Current BLS and ACLS certification.  Strong telemetry skills desired.
