Please return this form along with the Team Entry Form to the Tournament Committee Letter to Host Family

Dear Host Family,

Thank you for offering to host Team Members for this year’s Girls Junior Americas Cup Matches. Your generous hospitality is greatly appreciated and we know this will be an enjoyable experience for both you and your guests.

It is customary for the Host Family to furnish breakfast every morning and dinner on the free evenings when no event is scheduled. You are also asked to provide transportation for the Players to and from the Club for all Tournament and Social events. Please pick the girls up after lunch - lunch time is utilized for team discussion.

You are the girls’ family while they are away from their own homes and the Housing Committee offers the following recommendations: . Exercise a degree of supervision over the girls . Inform them of meal times . Do not allow the girls to drive your automobile . The girls cannot be left alone in your home . Inform the Team Captain immediately of any problems regarding the girls

We ask you to inform the Team Captain regarding planned family activities. If the parents of the player(s) are attending the event, they have been informed that they are not allowed to attend any dinner or social events with their child. Please do not feel obligated to invite them to attend. The GJAC Tournament Committee discourages high level sports/water activities because of health and safety issues.

We encourage you to participate in the GJAC events as much as possible, including the colorful pre-tournament Flag Raising Ceremony, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the scheduled social event. All GJAC events are alcohol-free when the players are present.

We invite you to come out and watch the competition. We know you will be very impressed with the quality of the golf and knowing you are there will be great support for the girls. We ask that you pick up and observe The Notice to Spectators rules while at the golf course.

If you have questions or concerns about any of your guests please discuss these with their Team Captain. The Housing Committee will handle other questions. Again thank you for your invaluable support of the Girls Junior Americas Cup Matches.

Sincerely, GJAC Housing Committee LETTER TO PARENTS

The Girls Junior Americas Cup is a very prestigious tournament bringing together the top junior golfers from fourteen western states, Canada and Mexico.

We stress this is a Team Event. The girls travel together as a team, compete as a team, share as a team, live together as a team and spend their time together as a team. For many of the girls this is their first opportunity participating in a golf tournament as a team member. The Captain is there to make sure this concept is followed and to foster and encourage team camaraderie. The team approach is necessary if the girls are to play well in the event.

The Captain is there as their chaperon and is legally responsible for the team members’ actions. Parents are not involved in decisions regarding the Team.

Attendance at all tournament functions is mandatory for team members. At no time is a team member allowed to leave with a parent.

Parents are responsible for making all their own arrangements for air and ground transportation, motel reservations and meals.

Please know you attend this event as a spectator only. The Spectator Policy is in effect beginning with the Practice Round.

Spectators may not communicate with the players during the practice and competition rounds, unless to acknowledge good shots and give support to all players. Spectators must remain on the cart paths, off the fairways at least 30 yards away from players and keep up with the group they are following. Spectators are not allowed in golf carts and may not use cell phones on golf course property.

Spectators are prohibited from the practice areas at all times.

The Girls Junior America Cup Committee thanks you for your cooperation. PARTICIPANT and PARENT SIGNATURE FORM
