God Is the Holy Spirit

God is the Holy Spirit Reference: David K. Bernard Eph. 4:4-6 there is one Spirit, One God and Father of all The Old Testament is strict monotheism. There is no hint of persons with the Godhead. This is important because Jesus said that the Jews know what they [The “Word” is God, Jh. 1:1, and God is a Spirit – Jh. 4:24] worship. The law never said anything about “coequal, distrinct three-persons” in I John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, the Godhead. and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Thus we know that the seven Spirits of God mean it is the one and same fullness. OT prophets were to Israel what church age messengers were to the Spirit coming forth in a sevenfold way. Church of NT.

The seven Spirits before the throne is the Spirit That was in each of the seven messengers, giving them their ministries for the age in which each lived. The Nature of God Rev. 1:4 Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was; and God is a Spirit – no flesh and bones from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; John 4:24 Jesus said God is a Spirit Matt. 16:17 flesh and blood hath not revealed it, but my Father The seven stars are the messengers to the churches (Rev. 1:20), and we know that Lk. 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; stars often shine in the dark by reflecting the light of the sun. They (stars) for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. go forth in the fire and power of the Holy Ghost with the Word. They are stars because they reflect light. The light they reflect is His light. They God is invisible have no light of their own. They kindle not their own fires that men may Col. 1:15 Christ is the image of the invisible God walk in the light of their sparks 1 Tim. 1:17 unto King eternal, immortal, invisible, only God Rev. 3:1 These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven Moses saw manifestations of God, but NOT the invisible Spirit stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Heb. 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. The seven Spirits of God are called “lamps” in Revelation 4:5. Since John always used nothing but Old Testament symbols in the Revelation we go to the Because God is invisible, the Bible uses personifications when referring to God. Old Testament and find from Proverbs 20:27 that "the spirit of man is the lamp These cannot be literal statements, but figurative. of the Lord." These seven Spirits are found to be associated with man. John the Ex. 15:6 – right hand dashed enemy to pieces (see 14:21) Baptist in John 5:35 was called a 'burning light' which should actually be Isa. 48:13 – right hand spanned the heavens translated as 'burning lamp.' 2 Chron. 16:9 – eyes of Lord run to and fro throughout the earth Rev. 4:5 and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which Ps. 91:4 – He shall cover thee with his feathers…be under his wing are the seven Spirits of God. Ps. 16:8 – because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved Again in Revelation 5:6 the seven Spirits are identified as seven eyes. In Zechariah 4:10, God is Omnipresent (Everywhere Present by Foreknowledge, not personal "For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall presence?) see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven, they are the eyes of We do not limit God’s ability to be everywhere at the same time. Thus we see that the eyes of I Ki. 8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and the Lord in this instance are men--of course they will be anointed men, full of the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have Holy Ghost, for God's ministries are not in the power of men but of the Holy builded? Ghost. Putting our Scriptural discoveries together it is evident that the seven Ps. 139:7-12 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy Spirits of God refer to the continuous ministry of the same Holy Spirit in the lives presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, of seven men with whom God identifies Himself very closely. They are His eyes, behold, thou [art there]. and they are His lamps. Who these seven men are can easily be seen because the next phrase calls them the seven stars which are already known to us as the seven God was on earth in His Son and in heaven at the same time messengers to the seven ages. How beautiful that is. See, the star was meant to John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from reflect light at night, for the sun has gone. Just so the messenger (typified as a heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven. star) to each age was to reflect the light of the Son. They all did this by the Holy Spirit. God was NOT in the wind, earthquake or fire with Elijah – but He was in the Rev. 5:6 stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, burning bush! which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. I Ki. 19:11-12 but the LORD [was] not in the wind, not in the earthquake, not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. One illustration of the seven Spirits is the Spirit of Elijah used five times. Ex. 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto So we see that the Seven Spirits actually refer to the One Spirit of God working him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here [am] out the will and Word of God in different generations. I would like to illustrate I. that from the Word. The Spirit of God was mightily upon Elijah. Then that same Spirit came upon Elisha in a twofold effect. Then centuries later, the same Spirit God is Omniscient (All Knowing) Which we call the Spirit of Elijah in order to describe Its ministry, came back Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every [thing], and [that] no thought can be upon John the Baptist. One day that same Spirit identified by the same manner of withholden from thee. ministry will come upon a man for the end of the Gentile church age. As Jesus went away He told His disciples to tarry until Pentecost at John 21:17 And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest which time the very same Spirit that was upon Him would come back and fall that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. upon them and fill them. Then that 'called out' body (the church) would be in His stead upon the earth, taking His place. And because that same Spirit That was in *See “Predestination” Bible Study for God’s Foreknowledge Him would be in them, they would do the very same works. And any people that is truly the Body of Jesus Christ (the true church) will manifest the same works as God is Omnipotent (All Powerful) did Jesus and the Pentecostal church because the same Spirit will be in them. Any Rev. 19:6 the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, other church that does not have the Spirit and the manifestations is going to have saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. to account to God. Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Yes, the Spirit is not seven Spirits but ONE. He will always be the same and act I Tim. 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, [who is] the blessed and only the same. And the seven messengers will have the same Spirit and teach the same Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Word and have the same power.
