SWAT Executive Committee Meeting Minutes 3011 Hyder SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 Wednesday, February 26, 2014 The SWAT Executive Committee meeting convened at 7:00pm.

ATTENDANCE: Terri Moyers, Julie Fillinger, Linda Kipp, Christina Parlapiano, Gayle Elliott, and Gloria Napper-Owen

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: After discussion and amendment, a motion was duly made and seconded and the minutes of the February 12, 2014 Executive Committee meeting were approved.

REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT: None

REPORT OF THE CORRESPONDING SECRETARY: None

REPORT OF THE TREASURER: 1. Current Financial Situation: Linda Kipp, Treasurer, briefed the Executive Committee of the current balance of $23,243.42.

REPORT OF THE VICE PRESIDENT: None

REPORTS OF THE COMMITTEES: 1. NADAC: a. Site: Becky Wolfe has secured the site, Inez Elementary School Park. b. Advertising: It was discussed that the Executive Committee will heavily advertise the May NADAC trial. A message will be sent out to all SWAT members, the trial information will be placed on the SWAT website and Julie Fillinger, President, will look into having it placed on the SDOC website. Information will also go out via Yahoo Groups. c. Trial Staffing: The May NADAC trial is currently staffed. 2. June USDAA: The June USDAA trial is fully staffed. Margaret Combs, hospitality, Coleen Andrews, Chief Ring Steward, Ellen Rowe, Chief Course Builder, and Bob Kipp, Chief Scorekeeper. 3. June AKC: None 4. July Fun Match: Gayle Elliott and Gloria Napper-Owen joined the Executive Committee to discuss the July Fun Match. a. Gayle Elliott stated to possibly setting up a NADAC Hoopers course at the fun match splitting the time in one ring with Hoopers and JWW. b. Gayle Elliott and Gloria Napper-Owen have asked Linda Kipp, Treasurer, to design the courses for the fun match. c. Volunteers are need to help at the Fun Match; gate, time, bar set, chute fluff and volunteers will be compensated with free runs for volunteer shifts. d. It was discussed that SWAT will place fliers discussing the different venues SWAT supports at the Fun Match. 5. September 2014 AKC: None 6. November 2014 USDAA: The judges for this trial will be Kim O’Connor and Rob Bardenette, Trial Chair, Terri Moyers, and Trial Secretary, Mica Tyler. SWAT is currently looking for a Chief Score Keeper.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1. Equipment Silent Auction: SWAT currently has used agility equipment that it would like to auction off. It was discussed by the Executive Committee that the first equipment silent auction will occur at the June USDAA trial. Christina Parlapiano, Recording Secretary, will manage that auction. Christina needs to get in touch with Gene Tatum to discuss auction items. 2. Sangre de Cristo Equipment Purchase: Julie Fillinger, President, has sent a proposal to Sangre de Cristo about purchasing equipment for SWAT. 3. Equipment Manager: It was discussed that the job of Equipment Manager be a team job. Richard Hansen is willing to drive the truck to every show, load/unload. SWAT will be looking for possibly two (2) individuals to prepare the truck for trials and possibly one (1) individual to be the point person. a. Terri Moyers, Corresponding Secretary, will contact the current membership to see if anyone is interested in filling any of the three Equipment Manager positions. It was also discussed to post it on the website and have a sign-up at SWAT trials. 4. Voucher Policy Proposal: Linda Kipp, Treasurer, discussed the new voucher schedule. More to be discussed at the next Executive Committee meeting. 5. Standing Rules: None

NEW BUSINESS: 1. Mini. Australian Shepherd Club Trial Proposal: After a thorough discussion, the Executive Committee unanimously voted against sponsoring the Miniature Australian Shepherd Club Trial. 2. Sherriff’s Posse Contract: Postponed 3. Equipment Truck/Purchases Fund: Postponed 4. Review of 2015 Trial Schedule: Postponed

FUTURE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING DATE: It was discussed by the Executive Committee that the next meeting be held at 7:00pm, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the home of Terri Moyers. The meeting of the SWAT Executive Committee was adjourned at 9:04pm, Wednesday, February 26, 2014.
