Reports: President: Two months of my Presidency has already passed by and at this rate it won’t take long for the year to go. I went to West Toowoomba P/P Fund Raiser with Oakey and we surprised ourselves by winning the Shield. On 15th April I attended and played in City’s Fiesta and thanks to Gwynneth, Margaret and Joyce being in my team. The Challenge Match against Gateway at West Toowoomba on the 17th April was most enjoyable to watch with great bowls played. A change of the format for this game in the future was put forward by Gateway and this will be discussed in the meeting. Thank you to my team accompanying me to the Prestige Fours played at Pittsworth on 21st April – Gwynneth, Vicki Horsburg, and Hazel. Another enjoyable day. Gwynneth, Gwenda and myself attend the Blind Bowlers Friendship day at North Toowoomba on the 22nd April. I was lucky to get the losing Skip’s award so I went home happy. It was very disappointing to see that the other Clubs did not support this day, but this is their choice. Only DDLBA and Cambooya, besides some Norths’ players were there. I hope to attend the Championship Pairs to be played at Drayton 27th to 29th April. I wish to convey my best wishes to the girls playing in the District Sides Championships at the Gold Coast 4th to 7th May. Hope you do very well and enjoy the games. My thought for this month: It is nice to be important, but more important to be nice.
