Re: Certification for GD930 HEPA filter

Dear Matt,

The HEPA filters used in the Model GD930 vacuum cleaner are certified in accordance to both the US standard (MIL-STD-282) and the European standard (H13EN1822). This information is printed on the side of each HEPA filter as shown in the attached photo and also on the attached Declaration of Conformity that comes from the filter manufacturer (Flodins). The P/N for the GD930 HEPA filter is listed on the declaration page as “1402666010”.

The minimum efficiency for HEPA filters in the US is 99.97% for particles of 0.3 micron and larger. “99.99%” is printed on the filter to show that Nilfisk tests at a percentage slightly higher than what is required. The term “100% tested” means that each filter was individually chal- lenged with particulate. When tested, these filters are given a lot code (ex. SER 0604). The term “DOP” describes the type of filter test. DOP was the name of the challenge aerosol used to test HEPA filters for many years. Although safer substitutes are used today in place of DOP, the name for the test has carried on.

I hope this information answers any questions you have concerning the certifications of the GD930 HEPA filters. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me directly at 610-232-5447.

Best Regards,
