Financial Planning Associate:

Brown Wealth Management, a financial advisory firm providing fee-only financial life planning and wealth management services to affluent and high net worth clients located in the Eden Prairie, MN (Minneapolis) area has an opening for a Financial Planning Associate.

Who is our ideal candidate?

 B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four year university  You must be able to sit for the CFP exam (having taken all the coursework) within one of year of employment OR passed the CFP and need the experience  Extreme attention to detail  Excellent interpersonal skills  Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation  A genuine interest in serving and caring for other people  Excellent organizational and time management skills  An ability to handle multiple tasks and handle stress  A desire to succeed  Self-starter who is a quick learner and able to work independently  Highly polished and professional demeanor  Team player - able to coordinate services with staff and 3rd party service providers and follow up to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.  Strong oral and written communication skills.  Strong desire and interest to constantly improve financial planning technical skills  Adhere to all compliance procedures and continuing education requirements  Complete the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University study within first two years of employment

Duties of the Financial Planning Associate:

 Enter client information into Comprehensive Financial Planning Software  Assist clients in aggregating their accounts into the system  Create comprehensive, written financial plans including customized asset allocations  Develop and maintains written systems of all activities  Is at his or her desk, productively working by 8 a.m.  Has the six most important activities list on his or her desk before leaving each evening  Complete administrative tasks as needed, including: billing, copying, filing, organizing, scanning, scheduling, answering phone, etc.  Be technology savvy  Analyze, research and implement investment arrangements  Implement the planning recommendations and follow up on client needs in a timely manner  Sit in on client meetings as needed  Assists in preparation of client events  Works weekends or evenings as necessitated by client events

Compensation:  Dependent upon experience and CFP status

Office Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with the expectation for extended hours as needed
