1. In Microsoft Word’s menu bar at the top of the document, click on “Tools.” The Tools drop-down menu appears. 2. Choose “Options.” 3. Click on the “View” tab. 4. In the “Show” section, select “Always” for “Field Shading.” 5. Select “OK.” 6. All areas that need customization are now shaded. Click on each shaded area to appropriately change the text. 7. After modifying, copy and paste the text for use in electronic communications.

I’m pleased to announce that this year’s benefit selection during open enrollment will feature health plans, including an innovative new “HSA” plan, from Premera Blue Cross.

People across the nation are embracing HSA plans and for a very good reason. When used in conjunction with a Health Savings Account, a HSA plan offers more individual control in how health-care dollars are spent. The combination is designed to empower and promote changes that can result in healthier lifestyles and a more productive work and family life—which is good for all of us and for our company as a whole.

A HSA plan combined with a Health Savings Account also offers a triple tax advantage:  Employee contributions to the account may be payroll-deducted on a pre-tax basis.  The account grows tax-free.  When the accumulated funds are withdrawn for qualifying health-care expenses, such as deductibles and coinsurance, they’re not taxed as income or capital gains.
