2011-12 INDOOR SOCCER RULES TEST TRUE OR FALSE QUESTIONS REGARDING THE RULES OF WALLED FACILITIES (3 POINTS EACH): 1. Teams must always have 1 player on the field designated as the goalkeeper. TRUE. 2. Provided it’s not in the last 2 minutes of a period, one of the guaranteed substitution opportunities is after a 3 line violation. FALSE. A 3 line violation is not a guaranteed substitution opportunity. 3. Provided it’s not in the last 2 minutes of a period, one of the guaranteed substitution opportunities is when a team fails to take its restart within 5 seconds of having been signaled by the referee to do so. TRUE. 4. A baseball cap may be worn by the goalkeeper. FALSE. Baseball caps cannot be worn by goalkeepers in indoor soccer. 5. Any player, who is sent from the field to correct or adjust equipment, may not return until the next guaranteed substitution opportunity. TRUE. 6. Unless directed by a facility manager, the game clock will run during injury stoppages. TRUE. 7. The denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity by handling the ball is cause for ejection. FALSE. Denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity is not a reason for a red card in indoor soccer. 8. A ready to play whistle is mandatory on all corner kicks. FALSE. A ready for play whistle is only mandatory if a substitution is made on a corner kick. No ready for play whistle is required on any corner kick in the last 2 minutes of a period. 9.
