Charter Council Meeting Minutes Tuesday June 27, 2017 in Conference Room at Stone Bridge School

Members Present: Jeannette Long, Jodi Ogden, and Ami Mautner. Justin Tomola and Maria Giusti on conference call.

Absent: Marlo Cohen and Linda Joshua

Administration Present: Maria Martinez

Public Present: none Scribe: Jodi Ogden

1. Call to Order; Identify Timekeeper; Verse Called to order at 1:13 pm Timekeeper: Ami Mautner

2. Approve Agenda Maria Giusti motioned to approve, Ami Mautner seconded. The board unanimously approved the motion.

3. Public Comment There was no public comment

4. Approve Minutes, Ami Mautner motioned to accept the minutes of June 13, 2017 with corrections:  Under #4 remove words “at _____,______seconded”.  Under #8, last paragraph Maria Giusti’s name to be spelled correctly. Jodi Ogden seconded the motion with these corrections above. The board unanimously approved the motion.  ?? Was there a change to #7? Confirm with Maria Martinez

5. Approval of Contracts, Doc called “Contract Agreements” (Maria Martinez) Corrections:  Correct date 2017/2018 upper left of doc  Rochelle V. to correct Julia U’ren’s salary (shows last year).  Add titles to top of financials (last 3 columns): Last year’s salary 2016/2017; 2017/2018 increase; Increase %  Correct salary increase on Office Assistant (second to last row): was $809.97, should be $806.84.  Correct salary increase and % increase on Office Coordinator(last 2 rows): was $2017.60 and 3.39%, should be $2025.42 and 3.41%.

Remaining employees portion at the bottom of this document is tabled for next meeting. Jodi Ogden motioned to approve contract agreements with above changes, Ami Mautner seconded. All in favor.

6. Approval of Salary Schedules (Maria Martinez) Changes: The board requests the name of Farm Director to Farm Coordinator.(change on stipends form and salary forms). Maria Giusti motioned to change name of Farm Director to Farm Coordinator and Ami Mautner seconded the motion. Stipends were discussed.

7. Approval of Class Cap/Enrollment (Maria Martinez) Class cap for 3rd grade class up to 29 students. Jodi Ogden motioned to approve class cap for 3rd grade to 29 students and Maria Giusti seconded. All in favor.

8. Approval of LCAP (Maria Martinez) Maria informed board of report, Justin Tomola commented about a thorough report. Jodi Ogden motioned to approve the LCAP and Justin Tomola seconded with all in favor.

9. Approval of Overnight Field Trip 8th grade to Camp Lotus for ropes course and rafting with overnight stay. (Maria Martinez). Jodi Ogden motioned to approve with change that Bill Bindewald initials the request form. Ami Mautner seconded with all in favor. 10. Approval of Resolution with Charter Safe (Maria Martinez). Jodi Ogden motioned to approve the Resolution with Charter Safe and Maria Giusti seconded. Roll Call:  Jodi Ogden in favor, yes  Ami Mautner in favor, yes  Justin Tomola in favor, yes  Maria Giusti in favor, yes  Jeannette Long in favor, yes

11. Charter School University Ch 24-26 (Justin Tomola)

12. Admin Update (Maria Martinez)  Megan Wright as assist admin  Still looking for 3rd grade assist with interview set  Parent Council wishes to discuss funding some programs  Legal portion of budget discussed

13. Charter Council Chair Update (Jeannette Long) Next year’s charter members and membership discussed. Not able to have 2 family members on board at the same time. Looking for Community Member position for 2 years.

14. Confirm next meeting and review potential agenda items Next meeting Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 6 pm in the handwork room. (No meeting in July).
