Grove Production Project 2015 The Wizard of Oz TECHNICAL Information Pack & Registration

Those wishing to register to apply for a technical place on our Grove Production Project 2015 at Grove Theatre must be between 14 and 21 years of age in order to be eligible.

Application Form

There is an application form at the end of this information pack. Please complete and return this to me at the Grove Theatre as soon as possible in order to be in with a chance as there are limited technical places available.

You will be notified in writing as to whether you are successful or not. We will then give you further information about the requirements of the project. Please note that although we do everything possible to make the application process fair, there is always some disappointment. We apologise for this in advance, but the team’s decision is final and further correspondence regarding this decision will not be entered into.

Remember, you only get one chance to make a good impression, so please complete your application carefully.

The Project

For fourteen intensive days, young people from Bedfordshire will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best professional theatre practitioners in the industry and then present their ability to act, sing, dance and work backstage to a paying audience at Grove Theatre.

Rehearsals will run between Saturday 25th July and Thursday 6th August 2015.

There will then be four performances as follows:

Thursday 6th August at 7.30pm Friday 7th August at 7.30pm Saturday 8th August at 2.30pm and 7.30pm

You must be available for all of these dates

If you are accepted for the project then you will be expected to pay a fee to cover the cost of professional tuition and expenses. The fee is £80 per person and is payable in advance by Monday 1 st June 2015. The fee does not include any transport or meals. Please note that the fee is non-refundable if you decide not to take part less than 4 weeks before the start of the project.

The most important thing about the Grove Production Project is that it is two weeks of extremely hard work that will only succeed if there is a huge team effort from everyone involved. It is also an amazing two weeks of fun and excitement where you will work with and learn from a superb team of industry professionals, make new friends and gain invaluable theatre experience.
