Tri-State Vacation

Your task is to plan and map a 3-state vacation. Through research you will find, map out, and describe five interesting places to visit in a tri-state area (at least 1 per state). Remember that this is a vacation, so pick places/sites that you would like to see!

Map:

*Hand-draw your tri-state area – label each state *Label the state capitals *Label 3 or more other major cities in each state *Draw in and label 3 or more major physical features in each state *Label the surrounding states/countries/bodies of water *Clearly draw in and label the vacation stops *Draw the route taken between each stop (follow roads!) *Include a picture for each stop (hand-drawn, cut out, or computer-generated) *Remember to use color!

Description:

*For each stop, describe the major features at each area. Remember that this is a vacation destination, so describe what can be seen/done at each location. Include specific, factual information. Include historical significance if it is relevant. Also include dimensions, if applicable. (Minimum of 70 words for each stop).

Other:

*You will have 2-3 days of library time to do research. At the end of each library session, students must turn in their hand-written notes. Notes must also be turned in with the completed project. Grading
