Starter Record WALT following prescribed rules for 5 mins presentation Distribute work booklets with applied Q’s Label / Code each question in handwrite All students to label missing side on Q5 ‘x’ and 5 mins according to need to use Pythagoras, basic change Q19 to ’12 km north to Y’ and ignore Q trig, Sine rule, Cosine rule, Area of a triangle 28 as same as Q2 (Students will not have time to complete)

Main Draw examples on board and follow stepped Reminder of steps for applying Pythagoras, approach for finding missing lengths and steps for applying basic Trig, and steps for angles. 10 mins selecting Pythagoras, Trig, Sine, Cosine, or (Students have already been using the ‘Steps for area of triangle formula Success’ document) Timed Practice with examples drawn on board in exercise books

30 mins Practice problem solving with mixed Monitor progress as per departmental policy. questions involving Pythagoras / Trig Whole class intervention when necessary Students can write on worksheets or in exercise books.
