JOB TITLE: Campaign Manager FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Full-Time SUPERVISORY REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Advancement None RESPONSIBILITY: POSITION SUMMARY The Campaign Manager will lead and manage all funding and material goods campaigns with oversight for creative design, project management, direct mail strategies, marketing strategies, budget management and campaign analysis. This position will work closely with the Donor Relations Manager, Communications Manager and Database Manager. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Advancement, and then to the Chief Advancement Officer. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES STRATEGIC FOCUS Project Management  Manage strategic process for all agency campaigns for fundraising and material goods  Manage the writing, development, design and production of all campaign materials, both print and digital  Manage relationships with external agency partnerships to ensure effective campaign goals and management  Manage selection and relationships with internal and external copy and creative resources to develop winning creative strategies, pieces and packages  Manage selection and relationships with direct mail/marketing firms, design groups and print houses to ensure timely, accurate and cost effective production of campaigns  Ensure that all creative work reflects core brand values across all campaign communications and optimizes response among target donor audiences  Ensure consistent messaging and timing across all internal and external marketing channels in accordance with agency strategy and standards  Schedule and lead campaign strategy meetings  Develop and maintain all campaign budgets  Recruit and manage campaign volunteers and interns Analytics  Develop analytic metrics that define all reporting data and procedures  Produce and distribute timely and accurate campaign reports highlighting campaign performance  Ensure record keeping of all data related to campaign prospects and donors is up to date in donor database  Manage data and record keeping with analytic modeling to merge and purge mailing records to provide effective target lists for campaigns  Develop accurate performance and forecasts for each campaign based on campaign results and metrics  Analyze historical and current campaign results to optimize learning and ensure continuous improvement in each successive campaign Development  Proactively initiate ideas for testing new campaign concepts and packages working with internal and external creative resources to develop and execute  Develop meaningful campaign tests to ensure continuous improvement  Recommend revisions to campaign plans, as needed, to meet department and agency goals  Work to improve campaign performance and stewardship, developing value balance of expense and revenues

Other Duties as Assigned  Support other agency projects as appropriate  Represent the agency at community events as needed  Represent the agency through agency tours and internal events as needed

Job Description: Campaign Manager Page: 1 Revised: 7.2.2015 EXPERIENCE/PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, skills and abilities):  Proven passion for serving people in poverty, and desire to work towards making Charlotte-Mecklenburg a better place for all  Experience in direct mail marketing and campaign management  Experience in creative design and project management  Outstanding organizational and communication skills  Demonstrated interpersonal/relationship building skills  Demonstrated public speaking experience  Self-motivated; able to work independently and as a team member  Flexibility to work after business hours and on weekends, as needed  Working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, or other donor database systems

 Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS  Bachelor's Degree required PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of the job, the employee will work in an office environment and is required to work predominantly standing, sitting, walking, using hands and arms, typing using a computer, answering the telephone and reaching with hands and arms.
