Financial update: - Current balance - $2153.50 o Monica will determine the exact number earmarked for park improvements
Misc. - Maple Grove signs were restained and the backing of the copper leaf was replaced - Pick n’ Save will be changing over to Copps the end of March/early April - We will be having an election in the spring for MPNA officers - Mike will look into a date and location for the annual meeting - Need to set a date for the spring park clean-up. Children must be accompanied by an adult
Website update: - Marcie has agreed to help get the online directory up and running - Directory will have everyone’s name, but only members will have access to directory - Marcie can start on directory, but needs data o Mike will convert the information that we have o Marcie will set up search function o If the email doesn’t match (for access to directory), we will have a pop-up that says email doesn’t match and a link to our membership form o People can print out their own directory if they would like o Block captains will go out in March to collect information from non- members – they will go with membership forms and magnets (that have our website on it) - Marcie will put a “useful links” tab on our website. It will have links to crime tracker, sex offender, alderperson and school websites. Also, to have snow policies (which side of the street to part on), sidewalk snow clearing guidelines and mailbox policy (how far does it need to be put back of the street) all according to the City of Madison - Marcie will also put a tracker on our website to keep track of hits - Marcie has added a “Contact Us” tab – it needs to be changed to go to Mike - It was also talked about to sell space to realtors on our website - Have a “News” or “Community” link on our website – Mike will post from solicitations we get in our P.O. Box. They will be non-commercial, community-wide events. - Block captains will be put on website, so everyone knows who they are Architectural Control Committee (ACC) - Matt, Pat and Amy have been improving relationships with landlords - Have templates for several different covenant or city violations - Overall, they have had a good response to their letters or phone calls - Everything they do has been and will need to be looked over by the MPNA board - We will let the block captains know about the ACC. People can report to them or if they are aware of an issue, they can let the ACC know.
Garage Sale - Mike will contact woman who was interested in organizing the garage sale last year - We need to get the garage sale information out in March - There will be a fee for being in the sale – that will include an ad, balloons, map (of other garage sales in the area) and signs - Coordinate with neighborhood south of PD? - We talked about having a set weekend for an annual garage sale (i.e. the 1st weekend in Jun), so people can count on it every year
