Review purpose, goals, objectives and assumptions. Become familiar with the content of the module. Announce, advertise and promote the instruction module. Meet with instructors in person or via teleconference to review the agenda and materials, make specific assignments and answer any questions. Make provision for refreshments and meals, as appropriate.

1 Learning Outcomes
Purpose: The purpose of this module is to: present retirement issues for farm families
Goal: The goal of this module is to: have farm families set goals for retirement and take action on retirement planning
Objectives: At the conclusion of this module, the participants will have: written retirement goals completed a timeline analysis reviewed recent research and trends in retirement identified resources available for retirement analyzed health care and advanced directives, long-term care and health insurance in the golden years written action plans to reach retirement goals
Assumptions: This instructional module is designed for men and women farmers age 50 and greater
Instructors should: practice the principles of effective adult education. Have a strong background in family or agriculture economics. Be prepared and spend sufficient time reviewing the information prior to the presentation.
Instructional Schedule: The module is designed to be presented in a three-hour timeframe
