Family Ministries Pastor Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church is a vibrant and growing metropolitan, multicultural, and multigenerational Pentecostal church in the heart of north Toronto with the mission of exalting Jesus, empowering people, and evangelizing nations.
Mission: Family Ministries Pastor is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and tactical elements for all programs, activities and educational aspects related to Family Ministries at Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church.
Remuneration: $40,000-$46,000 per year (salaried) Benefits: Eligible following six-month probation Salary Reviews: Annually Proposed Start: Summer-Fall 2015
Qualifications: a) Canadian Citizenship b) Minimum College / University education related to ministry position c) Minimum 3 years full time ministry related pastoral experience in a Pentecostal context d) Credentialed member of the PAOC/AG in good standing; ordination preferred e) Current Criminal Records Check available upon request f) Minimum Class G driver’s license and ownership of reliable vehicle for ministry-related travel/errands Competencies: a) Passion for ministry to children and families and the desire to see both children and families grow in their faith and understanding of the Word b) Thrives in a multi-cultural multi-staff Pentecostal ministry context c) Reflects identity, mission, and vision of the church d) Excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented, relational, client focused e) Self-motivating, positive attitude, reliable, and enthusiastic f) Strong organizational and administrative skills; resourceful g) Proficiency in written, verbal, and electronic communications h) Proficiency in computer skills; familiar with relevant software i) Embraces creative and innovative teaching technologies a) Strong ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer ministry teams b) Possess the ability to use appropriate judgment, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality c) Comfortable with public speaking to small and large groups d) Acquainted with Plan to Protect® abuse prevention and protection Responsibilities: a) Provides strategic leadership in conjunction with Lead Pastor to coordinate family ministries b) Oversees all programming and ministry for children from infancy to Gr. 6, including Sunday Kids Church, VBS Camp, and other special events and programs related to children c) Develops new family ministry programs geared to specific family groupings such as parents, single parents, new moms, women’s ministries and other multi-generational initiatives d) Recruits, trains, builds and leads volunteer teams to minister effectively to families e) Implements appropriate, relevant, and exciting curriculum for each age level and program f) Creates environments, activities, and programming for each age group that facilitates spiritual growth g) Maintains ministry database with accurate and accessible information h) Provides pastoral care for children and families including counseling and hospital and home visitation i) Creates and implements strategies for reaching new families through innovative outreach initiatives j) Oversees ministry expenditures with fiscally responsible management of ministry budget k) Serves on Pastoral Team to provide other ministries to the congregation and community l) Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Lead Pastor and Board Please email a one page cover letter and one page resume to: Rev.
