Scope and Content:

This collection contains a photograph of the ca 1934 Merigold Consolidated School football team and a photograph of the W.B. Parks Store ca 1890-1910. Walter B. Parks was born in 1868 in Union County and moved to Bolivar County around 1890. He was a pioneer in the settling of Merigold and was a merchant, planter, president of Bank of Merigold, and charter member of the Merigold Hunting Club. He also served in the House and Senate during the period 1912-1920.
