Collegiate 4-H Meeting Minutes

 Current Balance: $3,357.48

 $10 for the semester - if writing a check, make payable to Purdue Collegiate 4-H

New Business:

Vice President Report – Tyler Marker, [email protected]

 Spring Fest is April 16th and 17th, if you work one 2 hour shift with 4-H – you get into the banquet free (if you do not work cost is $10 for your meal). All guests are $10.

 Sign ups were at the meeting and will be at future meetings

 There will be a motion demo on 4/7 to show us what the activity entails

 If you work 2 shifts, a point will be applied towards the achievement trip

Officer Training Report – Emily Grimm, [email protected]

 Monroe County – Monday, 2/29/15 leaving at 5 pm (Two more spots available!)

 Miami County – Tuesday, 3/22/16 leaving at 5:15 pm (Three more spots available!)

 Each training also counts towards the achievement trip

Achievement Trip Update!

 Achievement Trip Is on Sunday, April 24th at Turkey Run State Park from 1-5pm. Dues paying members must have 2 points to go on the trip.

o There will be people leaving earlier if you don’t want to stay the whole time

 Points awarded as follows: 1 pt./Murdock, 1 pt./Officer Training, 1 pt. for participation in the Thank-a-Thon, 1 pt. for doing a 2nd shift at Spring Fest.

 Today they made lava lamps

 Activities include: 3/3 Pinwheels, 3/10 Bird Feeders, 3/31 Dirt Pudding, 4/7 Growing Grass in a Cup, 4/14 Paper Flowers, 4/21 Mini Farmer Olympics!

 Monster Mini Golf will be March 3rd from 7-9 pm! Cost is $5 (please bring cash to simplify payment), club will pay the rest. Meet at 7 pm outside WSLR to carpool over. Bring extra money in case we get ice cream!

o Note that this is replacing ice skating since the rink is closed

Opportunities!

 Indiana 4-H BoilerMAKER Saturday, April 9th from 10 am – 4 pm!

o We will have two shifts, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm and then 12:30 - 4 pm!

o We will be facilitating science events and helping children if they get stuck on a step in the project.

o If you have a background in 3D printing, they can use help in that area

Meeting Dates for 2015-2016

 All meetings will be held biweekly from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in WSLR 116. The upcoming dates are as follows:

o March 10th, March 24th (Officer Elections for 2016-2017), April 7th, April 21st (Banquet in Food Science Building 1215)

 Fall Semester Call Out date for Fall Semester will be September 8th!

Division 1 Electric Kits Fundraiser!

 Assembly Tables are set up at the State 4-H office in the basement. Feel free to drop by M-F between 8-5 to work on them! Call 765-494-8435 to make sure the office is open, and the employees are not out for lunch.

 Contact Cassie if you have any questions about the kits or supplies via text or call at 812- 821-8077.

 We are working on scheduling another big assembly night

 Elections are on 3/24! Email Cassie/fill out a blue intent to run sheet if you want to run for a position. Officers are voted on by dues paying members.

 It would be preferred to have the intent to run sheets turned in to Cassie by March 10 th to have an idea of interest, but nominations can also be made at elections

 If you have questions about any office, feel free to reach out to an officer and they can give you information
