Area Three Technology Integrator Pat Lewis is pleased to announce another online class for Brevard teachers. Online classes are taken over the Internet in a “virtual classroom”. Brevard County uses BlackBoard, an easy-to-use system that is secure and accessible anywhere there is a WWW connection. If you have basic keyboarding and Internet skills, access to a reasonably new computer with WWW connectivity (high-speed preferred, but not mandatory), don’t mind “going to class” in your PJs and bunny slippers, then an online class may be just the thing for you!

Integrating Technology with the Curriculum Using Word is a very basic course using Microsoft Word in your classroom for projects such as award certificates, reports, and research projects. Help improve your students’ skills in technology, language arts and more by using this application in your classroom. Participants will earn 8 inservice points upon completion. No partial points will be awarded. Please register only if you are serious about completing the course.

We will be creating projects using graphing, formulas and simple databases. Help improve your students’ skills in technology, math, and many other subjects by using this application in your classroom. Participants will earn 8 inservice points upon completion.

We will have a “Face to Face” meeting on April 3, 2007. Please come by for a brief overview and introduction to the course. It should not take more than 30 minutes to an hour. This takes place from 4 – 7PM in ESF room 914. Your logons to Blackboard will be sent to you by April 2, 2007 so you may log on and read about the course before our “Face to Face” meeting.
