Games are played to 15. ***if the score is tied at 13, the first team to 13 chooses to finish the game at 15 or set it a 5 points ***if the score is tied at 14, the choice is to play for either 1 or 3 points 3. Service is to the diagonal service court. Lines are good. The doubles service court is short and wide. After the serve the deep back line is the boundary. 4. A player only gets one attempt serve successfully unless he totally misses the bird, then a second chance is allowed. The service in doubles always begins on the right side of the court. If the score is even for the serving team, the server is the person who began the game. If it is odd, it is the first server’s partner. If the server is successful, he alternates serving from each side. On the first service of the game, only one person (or hand) gets a chance to serve. After the first service, both partners will get a chance to serve. 5. Play the best of 3 games, switching sides of the net after the first and second games, and in the third game after one team reaches 8. 6. It is a fault(loss of serve or point) if:  illegal serve(served above the waist or serving with the racket higher than the hand when hit)  a shot lands out of bounds or goes through or under the net  any player moves on the serve before the bird is contacted. This includes the servers feet. (no follow through)  bird is not returned by the receiver  player reaches over the net to hit the bird  player touches the net with his body or racket  “double hit” or “throw” (carry) of bird  the server’s partner blocks the receiver’s view of the server  player obstructs/hinders an opponent
