The meeting was called to order at 9:00am when a quorum was achieved.

R14026 PI: Eric Gaucher Title: Recombinant biomolecules for protein translation and fluorescence imaging Category: Non-Exempt; BSL1 Status: Under Review Reviewers: Andres Garcia & Meagan Fitzpatrick

This protocol was recently deferred and returned to the PI for additional information. The PI uses standard plasmid sequences, primarily using E. coli. The committee discussed the registration and requested the following clarifications prior to final approval.

Update registration to clarify that DNA will not only be used from E. coli but will also come from the commercial florescent proteins.

The section of the form “Other safety equipment will be used” was revised to list Safety pipettes and Centrifuge.
