Discussions of mentee strengths, gaps in skills E. Feedback on progress F. Referrals to other investigators and resources G. Facilitate increased access to the field H. Advice on professional societies and journals

3. What I expect of mentees

A. prompt attendance at scheduled meetings and seminars B. bring agenda to individual meetings; agenda to contain action items and progress C. Take responsibility for bringing up issues related to own career and needs D. Interest in receiving constructive feedback E. Willingness to ask questions, especially when unclear about any aspect of research or action items F. Courtesy to my research team members G. Deliver promptly on any agreed upon research responsibilities
