A. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is mainly concerned with how students can improve their pronunciation skills through getting them acquainted with the RP of English, explaining the differences between vowels and consonants, monothongs, and diphthongs and getting .them to be familiar with native-like manners of pronunciation
B. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
Lecture, class discussion, small group discussion and demonstration
C. COURSE OBJECTIVES
Familiarizing students with the RP of English -1 Getting students acquainted with vowels and consonants sounds -2 Getting students to be aware of the differences between English orthography and -3 pronunciation Getting students to differentiate between vowels and consonants -4 Getting students to distinguish between oral and nasal sounds -5 Getting students to distinguish between voiced and voiceless sounds -6 D.
