Dear Southwest Florida Community Member

Dear Southwest Florida Community Member:

The Promising Pathways planning committee is pleased to announce our 10th Anniversary Promising Pathways Conference on Best Practice in Autism Spectrum Disorder. We have invited keynote presenters from the previous nine conferences to help celebrate this event. Each presenter will discuss topics based on their most current research and/or latest works since their last visit to the conference. We anticipate this conference will address a variety of topics such as behavior, communication, social skills, adult issues and more.

This year’s Promising Pathways conference will take place Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Cohen Center. The conference is a community event, provided free to the public, and coordinated by a regional planning committee including parents of children with autism spectrum disorder and interested community members, as well as representatives from the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, Florida Gulf Coast University, Lee County School District, and Family Care Council.

In addition to the Saturday conference, we are planning a symposium to be held Friday, April 7th, 2017 including presenters, family members, educators, community members, distinguished guests, and other stakeholders. The purpose of this symposium is to discuss and gather input on critical topics in autism spectrum disorders. This collaboration is expected to result in a white paper with recommendations for dissemination to relevant organizations, and if appropriate, policymakers.

Because of our commitment to educating all families, educators, healthcare workers, and community members interested in serving individuals with autism, we have never charged for attendance. However, it is only due to the generosity of community and business members like you that we are able to continue offering the conference at no cost to attendees.

We are currently seeking all levels of sponsorship and have included a sponsorship package with details following this letter. Please consider being a Promising Pathways sponsor at the level at which you are able. We greatly appreciate all contributions to this worthy event and would be happy to discuss your sponsorship. Please contact us with any questions.

Sincerely,

Leigh Anna and Carolynne Co-Chairs, Promising Pathways Planning Committee
