The Koch Nitrogen Company Scholarships will be awarded to CASNR Department of Agricultural Economics undergraduate or graduate students. These scholarships recognize students who have exhibited outstanding academic achievement and leadership and who demonstrate the ability to successfully contribute to their chosen field. Koch will award up to $12,500 in academic scholarships to Oklahoma State University with a minimum of $7,500 in scholarships designated to CASNR Department of Agricultural Economics undergraduates or graduate students for the 2011-2012 academic year.

ELIGIBILITY  Recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at the Oklahoma State University-Stillwater campus pursuing an agricultural economics related undergraduate or graduate degree in the CASNR Department of Agricultural Economics.  GPA: Minimum 3.0/4.0 (un-weighted)  Graduation Date: Between Fall 2011 and Spring 2014  United States citizen

APPLICATION  For full consideration, applications must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, February 23rd, 2010. Applications received after this deadline will be considered on a space available basis.  Application materials must be complete at the time of submission. SELECTION  Koch will review applications for interview selection and will take into consideration such factors as: o Honors & Awards o University & College Organizations, Activities, and/(or) Services (including leadership positions) o Other Organizations, Activities, and/(or) Services (including leadership positions) o Relevant Work Experience  Selected applicants will be notified by Koch for a first round personal interview.  Interviews will be conducted on the OSU-Stillwater campus on March 3, 2011.  The scholarship recipients will be notified within the next week if he or she has been selected.  The scholarship recipients will be invited to OSU Koch Leadership Day to be held on April 1, 2010 at the Koch headquarters in Wichita, Kansas.

PRESENTATION

 The Koch Nitrogen Company Scholarship will be presented at the CASNR Department of Agricultural Economics Scholarship Banquet.  The recipient is expected to be present at the CASNR Department of Agricultural Economics Scholarship Banquet to receive his/her scholarship on April 9, 2011.
