[1246-2] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A JOINT RESOLUTION 10 11 TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF 12 LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION - OFFICE OF 13 STATE FIRE MARSHAL, RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION 14 AND LIFE SAFETY FOR SPECIAL OCCUPANCIES, 15 DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 16 4619, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, 17 CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE. 18 19 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South 20 Carolina: 21 22 SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, 23 Licensing and Regulation - Office of State Fire Marshal, relating 24 to Fire Prevention and Life Safety for Special Occupancies, 25 designated as Regulation Document Number 4619, and submitted 26 to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, 27 Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved. 28 29 SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by 30 the Governor. 31 XXX 32 33 SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED 34 BY PROMULGATING AGENCY. 35 The Office of State Fire Marshal proposes to eliminate redundant 36 and unnecessary provisions of the regulations; update, correct, 37 and/or otherwise improve by amending the remaining existing 38 regulations; use a standardized format for all regulations; and to 39 make the current regulations compatible with current federal and 40 state statutes. 41
