WKU Beginning Freshmen Scholarships – deadline Jan. 15. Scholarship information found at www.wku.edu/scholarship/incoming.php Several scholarships are under one application, but there are also several departmental scholarships that have to be applied for separately. More info on these in the counselors’ office.

UK Athletic Trainer Program – Students may apply to be an athletic trainer at UK. Must have a 2.75 gpa. Application required by Feb. 3. See counselors’ office for application.

Northern Kentucky University – Department of Theatre and Dance is hosting auditions for fine arts degrees. Auditions are Dec. 7. Must register online in advance of audition at http://theatre.nku.edu. See counselors office for more info.

Kentucky Christian University – LEAP scholarship applications are available. Deadline Jan. 15. See counselors office for more info.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program - $1000 scholarship for graduating seniors. Apply at www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm

UK College of Agriculture Scholarships – specific to college of ag. Deadline is Jan. 15. Application available at http://academics.ca.uky.edu/scholar1styear

Somerset Community College Scholarship Program – several scholarship awarded. Deadline is March 1. Paper applications available in counselors office.

Big Sun Scholarship - $500 scholarship available. Scholarships to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits regardless of sport. Deadline June 14, 2014. Apply at http://www.bigsunathletics.com Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award - $500 award for students who have completed at least 50 hours of volunteer work over the last two years and have maintained a 3.5 gpa. Deadline Nov. 29. Apply at www.studentscholarships.org/volunteer/php

Christian Connector – website has free info and scholarships. May also enter a scholarship drawing for $2500. See www.christianconnector.com

Sussle Scholarship - $1000 monthly scholarship designed to help students help others. Apply at http://sussle.org/scholarship

Discover Colleges – website with scholarship searches and a private college scholarship drawing. $2500 scholarship. Register at www.discovercolleges.com

Distinguished Young Women – Scholarship program that gives young women the opportunity to earn money for college and have an experience of a lifetime. Learn more at www.DistinguishedYW.org

UK Adair County Scholarship – available for students from Adair County only. Each year 5 new students are chosen. Can be several thousand dollars. FAFSA must be completed by Feb. 1 and application is due by Feb. 1. Applications in counselors’ office.
