Meeting Objectives:

1. To review the overall initiative’s goals and objectives. 2. To become familiar with each site’s intervention implementation and evaluation plan. 3. To understand the cross-site evaluation plan and expectations for site participation. 4. To exchange ideas and information on study questions, data collection tools, and strategies. 5. To facilitate opportunities for site and ETAC linkages for technical support.

Day Two: Friday, June 20

9:00 Break-Out Workgroups (Choose 1) Intervention 1: Peer-to-Peer Learning: Tailoring Interventions for Mexican Populations ETAC will present an overview of strategies for tailoring culturally appropriate interventions, taken from the literature. Sites will share their current plans, challenges, and questions regarding their tailoring efforts.

Intervention 2: Peer-to-Peer Learning: Strategies for Tailoring Interventions for Puerto Rican Populations ETAC will present an overview of strategies for tailoring culturally appropriate interventions, taken from the literature. Sites will share their current plans, challenges, and questions regarding their tailoring efforts.

10:45 Break-Out Workgroups (Choose 1) Evaluation 1: Using ACASI to Administer Surveys in Community-based Settings The workgroup will provide an opportunity for sites to observe an ACASI demonstration and ask questions/bring up concerns.

Evaluation 2: Conducting Qualitative Research as Part of Site-specific Evaluation The workgroup will provide an opportunity for sites to check-in with plans, challenges and questions regarding their qualitative research efforts.

Noon Lunch (On Your Own)

1:00 Round Robin – Plans and Discussion for Conducting Cross-site and Local Quantitative Evaluations These sessions will give sites a chance to describe their progress and seek peer support for implementing evaluations. Sites will also discuss coordination of referral systems in an effort to minimize cross- contamination of their evaluations if/when services are provided to the same client by several sites.
