3. A male age around 45 years, height 5’6”, shallow complexion, round face, wearing white baniyan, white lining shirt, grey pant and blue underwear, found on 24-3-2010.

4. A male age around 35 years, height 5’6”, shallow complexion, round face, weasring grey pant and white shirt, found on 25-3-2010.

ONE NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL ARRESTED: LOADED COUNTRYMADE PISTOL AND ONE LIVE CARTRIDGE RECOVERED INTRODUCTION:

With the arrest of one Muzzamil s/o Fariyaad Ali r/o A-81, West Jyoti Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi aged 25 years, the North East District police has recovered one loaded country made Pistol with one live cartridge from the area of PS Bhajan Pura. He was apprehended from near SBI Bank, Service Road, C- Block, Yamuna Vihar, Delhi.

INCIDENT:

In the evening of 24.03.10, after receiving secret information regarding possession of illegal weapon by one Motor Cycle driver, accused Muzzammil s/o Fariyaad Ali r/o A-81, West Jyoti Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi aged 25 years was apprehended during checking of vehicles and one loaded Country Made Pistol along with one live cartridges was recovered exclusively from his possession. On which, a case was got registered and investigation was taken up on priority basis.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION:

Since there are incidents of robbery and snatching showing illegal arms have been reported earlier in the area of PS Bhajan Pura and other parts of district, therefore anti snatching pickets have been deployed in the area for checking of the vehicles and police staff in plain clothes has been deployed for the same. On 24.03.10, HC Vijay Kumar No. 2519/NE along with Ct. Harveer No. 687/NE and Ct. Ram Naresh No. 1031/NE of PS Bhajan Pura was in the area for patrolling and checking duty. A secret information regarding possession of illegal arms was received to HC Vijay Kumar, on which a motor cycle rider was stopped and checked. A loaded country made pistol along with one live cartridge was recovered from his possession. INT ERROGATION:

On sustained interrogation, the accused person disclosed that he is nephew of one Naeem Pahalwan r/o Kardam Puri, Shahdara, Delhi, who is presently in Tihar Jail in a MACCOCA case. Muzzamil used to manage the money for Naeem outside the jail. He further disclosed that he is involved in several incidents of snatching in the area. By which he accumulated money for help his Maternal Uncle Naeem. He uses the country made pistol for extortion and threatening the people for money.

26-3-2010 NOTORIOUS ROBBER CUM MURDERER ARRESTED BY NORTH EAST DISTRICT

With the arrest of Sonu Kanchhidda s/o Ranbir r/o Amit Vihar, Loni, Ghaziabad (age 22 yrs), the staff of PS Harsh Vihar has not only put an end to the reign of crime unleashed by the local supremo but also gave a jolt to other budding criminals of the adjoining ‘Loni’ area who seemed to be following his footsteps.

The arrest of this criminal has led to solving of following sensational cases:

1. FIR No. 182/09, u/s 302/201/34 IPC, PS Harsh Vihar. - A labour supervisor was shot dead by four assailants in Mandoli Industrial area on the night intervening 09-10/09/09

2. FIR No. 08/10 u/s 392/34 IPC, PS Harsh Vihar. - A truck was robbed by four assailants from Char Khamba Opposite Nand Nagri Police Station, Wazirabad Road. 3. FIR No. 04/10 u/s 356/379/34 IPC, PS Harsh Vihar. - A bag containing personal articles/ documents was snatched by two car borne criminals from a Times of India employee. The snatched bag was later found abandoned in Behta Hajipur, loni area.

RECOVERY: A country made pistol with two live cartridges.

BACKGROUND OF THE ACCUSED:

Originally hailing from Bulandshar district of Uttar Pradesh, Sonu Kanchhidda was born in the year 1988 at village Katili, PS Bugrasi, District Bulandshar (UP). Initial days were spent in penury and the family shifted to Delhi looking for greener pastures. Initially, he worked as a labour with his father in a cable factory but found it difficult to make his ends meet. The lure of easy and big money led him to falling in bad company. He got in touch with Vipin Maavi Gang and took to crime in a big way. Thereafter, he did not look back and within a short period, he became a name to reckon with in the world of crime. His name became a synonym for terror in the minds of the local residents who found it difficult to utter a single word against him. With passage of time, he committed several sensational crimes which further established his position. His previous criminal involvements are as under:

1. FIR No. 795/07, u/s 394/307/365/302/34 IPC, PS Nand Nagri. 2. FIR No. 991/07, u/s 397/302/34 IPC, PS Nand Nagri 3. FIR No. 300/08, u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Nand Nagri.

The Incident

A team of staff of PS Harsh Vihar had been working hard in the past for nabbing Sonu Kanchhidda. Raids at all possible hideouts proved to be in vain. He always managed to give a slip to the police. However, his luck ran out when on 25.03.10, Const. Kavinder of PS Harsh Vihar received a specific information that Sonu Kanchhidda, who is wanted in a murder case (FIR No. 182/09) of PS Harsh Vihar shall be passing through Mandoli Chungi in a three wheeler at about 6 pm. A raiding team was immediately constituted to work on the secret information. The team members reached the “spot” and took up positions and laid a trap using barricades. As the team waited for the “target”, at about 6.15 pm, he was spotted getting down from a three wheeler about 50 yards away from the barricades. He had sensed police presence and he started running in order to escape. However, the alert members of the raiding team showed great presence of mind and alacrity and foiled his attempt to escape. He was chased, nabbed and overpowered. His personal search led to recovery of one country made pistol and two live cartridges. On sustained interrogation, he broke down and confessed his involvement in the offences mentioned above.

A GANG OF FOUR BURGLARS BUSTED: STOLEN PROPERTIES IN CRIME HAVE BEEN RECOVERED.

INTRODUCTION:

With the arrest of four persons namely 1. Sarfaraj @ Jahid @Raj s/o Mirajuddin r/o Rafiq r/o House of Rishi Pal, H. No. 7/7-A, Gali No. 6/7, L-Block, Jai Prakash Nagar, Delhi aged 28 years, 2. Mohd. Firoj s/o Mohd. Kayuum r/o House of Devender, Gali No. 4, Village Garhi Mendu, Delhi aged 24 years, 3. Chaman S/o Pyare Lal r/o A-10/111, Gali No. 10, Bhajan Pura, Delhi aged 27 years and 4. Vishwajit @ Babloo s/o Babu Ram r/o House of Karamvir, Gali No. 4, Village Garhi Mendu, Delhi aged 24 years, the North East District police has busted a gang of notorious burglars and recovered stolen properties and mobiles from the area of PS Bhajan Pura. They were apprehended from on service road, C- Block, Yamuna Vihar, Delhi.

INCIDENT:

Due to increase of incidents of burglaries and theft in the area of Police Station Bhajan Pura, regular checking of vehicles have been conducted by the way of establishing anti snatching pickets and stranger drive in the area. On 25.03.2010, a team comprising ASI Rameshwar Prasad, HC Vijay Kumar, Ct. Ramji Lal, Ct. Prem Pal and Ct. Brijesh was on checking duty in area of PS Bhajan Pura. A secret information was received that one gang of burglars is roaming in the area of Bhajan Pura and are coming on service road, Yamuna Vihar in a TSR No. DL-1RJ-2248 to dispose the stolen property. On which three persons namely Vishwajit, Chaman and Mohd. Firoj were apprehended and on their search, two walky-talky phones were recovered from their possession. One House breaking implement was also recovered from the TSR. On interrogation, all three persons disclosed that they along with their fourth co- accused Sarfaraj had stolen these phones from a shop of West Karawal Nagar in the night of 22.03.10 and today are going to dispose these phones to kabari. Hence case FIR No. 142/10 dated 25.03.10 u/s 414/34 IPC was registered and all three accused persons were arrested. On their instance, fourth accused Sarfaraj was also arrested and stolen articles were recovered from his possession.

INTERROGATION:

During sustained interrogation all four accused persons disclosed that all of them had committed several theft, burglaries and pick pocketing in the area of North East District, Delhi. They also disclosed that after committing theft and burglaries, they sell the stolen articles to kabaris of the area. They have disclosed that almost of them are basically from UP, they are residing presently here on rent and after committing crime, they go back to their native places.

PROFILE: The profile of all accused persons arrested in this case is very high as among of them, three accused persons namely Sarfaraj, Chaman and Mohd. Firoj have already been arrested previously in the cases of same modus operandi. All of them are desperate burglars of the area.

RECOVERY:- During the course of investigation, on the instance of accused Sarfaraj, stolen property including mobile phones and house utensils have been recovered. GRUESOME MURDER CASE SOLVED BY NORTH WEST DISTRICT POLICE

Exhibiting excellent investigative skills, perseverance and high degree of professional competence, sleuths of North West District Police has lifted the curtains on the mystery behind the gruesome murder case reported at police station Saraswati Vihar in the night of 2/3.03.2010 by arresting four accused persons and recovering a major part of stolen property. Two stolen Esteem cars and spring actuated knife and iron rods were also recovered from the possession of accused persons.

INCIDENT

In the morning of 3.3.2010, at 6.15 AM , a call was received at PS Saraswati Vihar vide DD No. 6 A stating that “servant of shop no.19 Sandesh Vihar Market Pitam Pura Delhi is lying opposite shop no.17 in injured condition and blood is oozing out from his head”. Staff reached at the spot and the servant was found dead at the spot and locks of shop no.17 were found broken. The shop no. 17 sandesh Vihar market had been ransacked and there were 4/5 injuries on the face and head of the deceased namely Dheeraj Kumar s/o Shyam Charan r/o A- 13/12 A Chetram Gali No. 1 Mauj Pur Delhi. One Shriram s/o Late Sh. Baichan Singh r/o Shiwani Tent Sajaawat shop no.17 Sandesh Vihar Pitam Pura Delhi gave his statement and case was registered and investigation was taken up by Inspr.Parveen Kumar.

As the news of tragedy spread, family members and relatives of the deceased also arrived at the spot and many theories of murder including murder during burglary or personal enmity were in air.

INVESTIGATION

The gruesome incident of murder left the local residents in shock and panic. Keeping in view the gravity of the incident a special team comprising of officials of PS Saraswati Vihar and Rani Bagh led by Sh.Gyan Singh Meena ACP/Saraswati Vihar was constituted to solve the case. The team re-visited the spot and examined it minutely. All the concerned persons were interrogated to find out any clue. The deceased was working at Shivani Tent Sajaawat, shop no.19 of Sandesh Vihar market since last more than 9/10 years and having cordial relations with the all neighbours and co-workers. The incident of burglary suggested the involvement of burglars in this case. During investigation of the case, known burglars of the nearby areas were interrogated and it was found that in the night of 2/3 March 2010, two shops of Netaji Subhash Place and one in GD market Pitam Pura have also been burgled. In the case of burglary of Subhash Place shops the chowkidar had seen the accused persons and also noted the number of the car used by the accused persons. The car used by those persons was found stolen from Keshav Puram area. All those cases were minutely examined and it was found that in one such case, the chowkidar of B-3 Keshav Puram had exchanged hot arguments with the four alleged persons and after that, alleged persons have escaped leaving their car. The said car was examined and some blood spots were traced on that car and some articles which were found inside the car were identified as a part of the stolen articles from Sandesh Vihar market shop.

This recovery and revelation of description of four persons by the chowkidar further boosted the investigation and teams were deployed to identify and search the accused persons. In the night of 5/6 March 2010 during checking of vehicles, one Manoj @ Monu was apprehended in a car and the said car was found stolen from the area of Maurya Enclave. Some documents of MCD license/documents of Shop No.17 Sandesh Vihar market were also found in the car and then followed several rounds of intensive questioning of Manoj @ Monu. During the course of interrogation, Manoj @ Monu confessed about his involvement in the burglary in Shop of Sandesh Vihar market along with his three other associates and subsequent murder of Dheeraj when he tried to shout, Parmod @ Langra, Mini @ Mental and Narbahadur @ Ladies Monu. Loosing no time the police team raided at several places and finally succeeded in nabbing the other accused persons from Lok Vihar road with a stolen Esteem car.

Sustained interrogation of these persons resulted in the revelation of an organized gang of burglars and robbers involved in number of cases. All the four persons were found previously involved in cases of robbery and burglary and some other cases of auto theft and burglary were also worked out.

4. Theft of Car No DL-9CK-3999 from PS Keshav Puram area ( FIR No. 82/10 PS Keshav Puram)

5. Theft of Car No DL-3CR-6881 from PS Maurya Enclave area ( FIR No. 43/10 PS Maurya Enclave )

6. Burglary of Cigeratte Packet Beer Cartons & about Rs. 11000/- at Netaji Subhash Place shops ( FIR No. 81/10 PS Saraswati Vihar)

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:

1. Parmod @ Langra s/o Heera Lal r/o L Block, N-105/182 Shakur Pur JJ Colony Delhi.

He has studied up to 7th class and after that came in contact with notorious criminal Sonu Bihari who is involved in number of cases and Parmod started indulging himself in offences of theft, robbery and burglary. He has been arrested earlier also in cases of theft and after release from jail, he again started theft and robbery cases.

2.. Mini @ Mental s/o Kanda Swami r.o E-683 JJ Colony Shakur Pur Delhi.

He is an illiterate and his parents are labourer. He came in contact with notorious criminal Sonu Bihari who is involved in number of cases and Mini started offences of theft and burglary.

3. Narbahadur @ Ladfies Monu s/o Prem Bahadur r/o D-73 Shakur Pur JJ Colony Delhi. He has studied up to 5th class. He resides near residence of Parmod and came in contact with Parmod Langra who is involved in number of cases and indulged himself in offences of theft and burglary.

4. Manoj @ Monu s.o Chandan Singh r.o K-272 Shakur Pur JJ Colony Delhi

He has studied up to 7th class and after that came in contact with notorious criminal Sonu Bihar and Parmod Langra who are involved in number of cases and Manoj is a drug addict also. Soon he started indulging himself in offences of theft, robbery and burglary.

PRESS RELEASE DATED 26.03.2010

FAKE & PROFESSIONAL SURETY ARRESTED With the arrest of one Natthu Singh S/o Sh. Jai Sukh R/o Jhuggi No. 2352, K Block Jahangir Puri, Delhi, the Police of South East Distt. Solved 5 cases of fake surety given by him in various court of Delhi.

INCIDENT

The accused was produced himself as surety of accused Ram Kumar in case FIR No. 224/2007 u/s 21 NDPS Act, PS Kalkaji in the court of Sh. J.P.S. Malik, ASJ, New Delhi. During verification the documents produced by the surety were found bogus and fake. On the basis of verification, the Hon’ble Court got a case registered vide FIR No. 294/2009 u/s 420/468/471 IPC at Police Station Tilak Marg, New Delhi against the above fake surety Natthu Singh. During investigation, it was also revealed that the above accused also produced himself as fake surety in various cases in Delhi and assisted the several accused persons for getting them bail out from the court. He was absconding and wanted since beginning of the case.

HC Surender Kumar No. 319/SE of PS Kalkaji developed information through his secret resources and came to know that on 25.3.2010, the accused Nathu Singh would represent himself as surety of the accused in judicial custody in case FIR No. 88/2010 u/s 379/411 IPC PS Kalkaji, New Delhi before the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Munish Markan, MM, Patiala House Court, New Delhi. HC Surender Kumar reached the court and as soon as the above accused produced himself as surety in the above noted case before the

Hon’ble court, he arrested him after apprising the fact to the Hon’ble court and taking due permission. The Hon’ble court has also appreciated efforts and act of HC Surender Kumar to apprehend such type of criminals who was misleading the courts for releasing the accused from the clutches of the law.

PROFILE:-

Accused Natthu Singh is illiterate and live in Jhuggi cluster Jahangir Puri. He does not do any work and habitual of taking liquor. He has 5 children and his wife is only bread earner of his family. He always remained ready to produce himself as surety for fulfill habit of consuming liquor and other intoxicating drugs. He also guided to the other persons of his locality to produce themselves as fake surety for their pecuniary gain.

APPRECIATION:- The Hon’ble Court of Sh. Munish Markan, MM, and Sh. Pritam Singh, MM, Patiala House Court, New Delhi in which court, the accused was produced after arresting him appreciated the efforts and act of Police officials. This act will also impact upon the persons who are misleading the court by producing the fake surety knowingly for their pecuniary gain.
