A-Concept and Purpose

The First ANSOLE-Cameroon National Conference for Young Scientists (ANSOLECAF 2016), on the theme “Renewable Energy for All in Cameroon” will take place in Bamenda Cameroon from the 18th to the 19th of November 2016 at Higher Technical Teacher Training College (HTTTC), University of Bamenda (UBa). ANSOLECAF2016 is a forum of exchange among various stakeholders seeking environment-friendly and sustainable solutions for the energy problem in Cameroon. The conference offers the opportunity to young Cameroonian scientists (at MSc, PhD and Postdoc levels) to present and discuss their recent research results with experienced scientists in the domain from Cameroon and elsewhere.

This conference is the first event in a series of conferences that will be organized regularly in Cameroon in this domain. For the first day, the participants will attend oral and poster presentations. The second day will focus on practical knowledge acquisition on PV systems.

D-Abstract Submission and Poster Instruction

ANSOLECAF2016 welcomes abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee members. If your abstract is accepted, you will receive an acceptance email. Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings.

Please prepare your abstract using the provided abstract template and submit it to [email protected]

Abstract submission is not a mandatory requirement to attend the conference, but it is open for all interested participants. Submitted abstracts should not exceed one page. The poster session will take place in the exhibition area. Stander poster panels will be available. Posters should be in a portrait format and appropriate format dimension should be 84x119 cm (A0 size).

The registration fees include ANSOLECAF 2016 hand-outs (notebook, pen, and abstract booklet), participation in two days of lectures, workshops and exhibitions. For Cameroonian attendees (students and researchers), it is advisable to submit your abstract and registration form early enough in order to receive some support from the organizing committee. While the organizers are willing to search for travel and subsistence, this cannot be guaranteed and so the organizers would be grateful if any participants can support any part of their travel and accommodation costs.
