Mrs. Ball’s Bulletin Week of May 1,2017

This week, we… It is May! Crazy! We have had a fun week learning all about plants. We found out that plants need sun, water, soil and air to grow and that all plants grow from seeds. Ask your child what else we found out! We reviewed all letters, sounds and sight words and continue to practice reading every day. We learned about coins in Math.

We read… We enjoyed lots of books! They included: From Seed to Plant, The Tiny Seed, Diary of a Worm, The Gardner, Splat the Cap Oopsie Daisy, Secret in the Garden, The Enormous Potato, The Enormous Carrot, The Surprise Garden, Tops and Bottoms and more!

Next Week We will learn all about the ocean next week! We will continue to review all letters and sight words. Money will continue to be our focus in Math, as well as in Social Studies. We will enjoy Field Day on Friday!

Kindergarten Graduation Graduation has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 in the Thrall Cafeteria. We will enjoy cake and punch following the ceremony. Please, no professional photography during our program. These pics may be taken afterwards. Parents may take pictures throughout the graduation. Field Day Field Day will be next Friday, May 12 at the football stadium! Running events will be in the morning, and field events after lunch. If you have a tent that we may use in the afternoon, please let me know. Also, don’t forget to order snacks through PTO if you would like to do so. I cannot be responsible for concession stand money. We look forward to a fun day! More information will go home next week!

Teacher Appreciation Wow! Thank you so much for the goodies this week! I really appreciate it. This is has been a fun group… I will miss them next year!
