“Rudy Movie Questionnaire”

Directions: Please answer the following questions as you watch the movie “Rudy.” Bring the answers to the next session on “Leadership: Motivation in the Workplace.”

1. Which character is the “MOST MOTIVATED”? Who is the best “performer”? If you think the answers to these questions “depends”, what do the answers depend on? Describe Rudy’s performance as a football player? What was the relationship between his motivation and his performance?

2. Why was Rudy’s motivation “exalted” in this movie versus any other character?

3. What basic need was Rudy trying to satisfy by playing football at Notre Dame? How did his needs differ from that of his father? His older brother? His girl friend?
