ITEM DISCUSSION/COMMENTS ACTION/OUTCOME 1. Welcome/Introductions  Committee members welcomed Susan Langston from None. Keenan and Associates to provide the Keenan SafeCollege Demo. 2. Agenda Review  None. None.

Changes to Agenda approved as submitted. 3. Review Group Memory -  None No changes to memory. November 5, 2013 Memory from November 5, 2013 will be posted on the website.

4. Keenan SafeColleges Demo  Susan Langston provided the Committee a Susan Langston highlighted the training demonstration on the Keenan Safe Schools training opportunities available online through the website. Keenan Safe Schools program.

The online program allows school employees to take online trainings and require the employee to take a quiz at the end of the training. A tracking feature is also available for training courses taken.

Keenan is able to upload specific Mt. SAC trainings to the SafeSchools site.

Keenan will set up the website for the Mt. SAC employees. The Committee will have access to the website trainings through the use of their A#.

Beth Quinlan will provide Susan Langston an updates email list of Committee members. 5. Training Opportunities –  Joe Terreri discussed with the Committee the Flex Day The Committee discussed the use of Terreri/Saldana training opportunities that are occurring. Keenan SafeSchools to help create Flex Day training opportunities.

The Safety Committee will provide suggestions for training topics for the upcoming Winter Flex Day. 6. Evacuation Chair Standards-  .Tim Engle provided the Committee with an update on Evacuation Chair vendors will be coming Engle/Saldana the Evacuation Chair Standards. to campus in early January to provide proposals and demonstrations to the Evacuation Chair Committee.

Purchasing is coordinating with the vendors to present to campus a portable chair and lift device.

A standardized campus plan and training method is being developed. 7. Disaster Bin Update  Carlos Duarte provided and update to the Committee on The Disaster Bing has been cleaned out. the Disaster Bin. There are currently no leaks and all supplies are dry. The door is difficult to open. A new building will be constructed where the current disaster bin is located in 2015.

Purchasing a new bin is currently on hold until a new location for the bin has been designated.

remain as is for now until more research can be conducted. 8. Smoking Policy Cessation  The Committee discussed the Smoking Policy Cessation Karen Saldana will bring to PAC the Appeals Process – C. Duarte Appeals process. question regarding the next steps for enforcement of the smoking and skateboarding policies.
